agarcia34
Money is never an issue. Cap can always be messed with to fit a player in if needed. Edited April 23, 2020 by agarcia34

Fans grossly overrate draft picks IMO because we spend months talking about them so you don't want to part with them. Cap numbers aside, I'll take 37.5 sacks and a 25 year old proven pass rusher over a 50/50 chance on a draft pick. He's worth it. If you can afford him. And if someone else will give a 1st. If no one else will, he's not worth it. '21 2nd rounder? All day. I'm not sure it's fiscally prudent. Yannick is not a true game changing DE, he is essentially a specialist. It's a nice specialty, but worth noting, he's not a 3 down player like Maxx. His rush defense is non-existent. He's going to want to get paid like a top DE in the league, which he is not. He is a non-factor vs the rush, and the Raider moves at DE suggest it matters to them. Probably have to move Gabe to get him. Then we have to fill RG. That might be fine, if Raiders have soured on Gabe, no big loss. But worth mentioning. We don't have any cap flexibility till next year. And really, Jags could use Gabe. I just don't know what Gabe is worth in trade. Gabe and a 2nd rounder? Gabe and a trade down from 19? The trade market for Yannick has been pretty darn silent, it seems. I'd hate to overpay.

If you were wondering what Yannick's agent thought about this whole deal. Also, anyone wanna make a trade without having a deal with Yannick? SilverNBlackFan
I think they'll eventually cave and take
agarcia34
They stupid to think they can do better than pick 19. I would hate to give up pick 19, but the draft is so much of a crapshoot as the first round goes on I would give it up for a proven sack artist who is only like 25 I think. 101Raider
Look, if we are going to spend 20 million on a DE (which I don’t condone at this time), why not sign Clowney? He’s a complete DE, better player and fits the scheme better. Plus he doesn’t cost draft capitol!!! Trading a 1st would be madness
BayRaider
If we did get Yannick, it’d be interesting to see how him and Carr get along. Yannick said on Twitter a while back Carr wouldn’t stop running his mouth during the Jaguar/Raider game. Seemed triggered.

Draft capital past the top 15 is way over valued. Ill exchange it for a proven play who is young every time.

agarcia34
Pick 19 for Yannick and a 3rd would be fine with me. Second-round pick would be ideal. Now you have four 3rd round picks that you can use to move into the second round.
RaidersAreOne
Gabe and a 3rd would be fine. Reeeeeeally don't want to move 19 for him unless more comes back.
massraider
There are mocks where one of the top 3 WRs slips to #19 as well. I know I know. No way that happens.......but: These mocks are not accurate. If Jeudy was there at 19? Would you trade it for Yannick?
