Don’t pay attention to PFFs mumbo jumbo percentages. Watch the guy.

I did. I thought he was going to go first round, though I wouldn't have traded up for him there.  I think that there's a lot of overlap, and don't think hes a super viable downfield threat at the next level. Not necessarily the worst thing.

Even though I don't like him as a prospect, I could have probably lived with it had we stay@31. But the trade up just irks me to no end. Lynch has a history of trading up and getting zero production out of it. His one lone victory was Foster...if you can call that a victory. From Joe Williams to Pettis, this is a bad pattern that seems to be repeating itself.

Shanahan is sooo predictable, he's trading up always to get his guy on offense lol. From Beathard to Williams to Pettis to Aiyuk....Aiyuk better break the trend here as the other trade ups have not worked out for us.

I literally just posted the same thing lol...

Shanny probably likes specific guys, and not others, and we'll never know exactly what his preferences are. There's always a scenario where you'll wanna trade out of the pick, if the value in the draft is not at a position you want/need.

Maybe Shanny loves Denzel Mims, or Brandon Aiyuk? Maybe he likes all of the top-3 guys, or maybe he has no intention of taking a WR at #13 under any circumstances? I recall Pettis seeming to come out of nowhere, while the team did tip its hand a bit that it liked Deebo last year. Haven't heard any scuttlebutt about who they like this year. My guess is that Shanny has them ordered Jeudy/Lamb/Ruggs, and will take whichever of them falls to him, but we shall see.

Quoting myself here. I'm not at all surprised that the WR Shanny ended up liking was hard to predict. And he clearly liked Aiyuk if they traded up to get him.

Interesting...I guess the business about wanting/needing to trade down and stockpile picks was a smokescreen. I like it.

Yeah, I straight do not trust him on receivers anymore. He’s hit on one so far. That’s it. Doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to use them but seriously pissed.

TBF, we've spent 4 premium picks on a WR. 1 looks like a bust (Pettis), 1 looks like a stud (Samuel), 1 was injured his rookie year but looked impressive in TC (Hurd), and one was selected an hour ago (Aiyuk).

I like this pick but no super stoked about the trade up.

Is it really that bad? We got 117 to move down one spot to take the player we were gonna take anyway. We moved up six spots in the first round essentially for 176. The dude is a playmaker. He has single-handedly kept ASU in games with his big-play ability and YAC. I’ll take Kinlaw and Aiyuk all day.

Any trade up for an offensive player during this regime should be met with great skepticism lol

It's worth noting..we just went to the Superbowl and it was a close game with a god tierm offense and QB. A year after picking #2. Our FO has done an incredible job at talent acquisition..so trade-ups are something I don't even really think about anymore.  The only thing I find myself dwelling on is passing on Mahomes and Watson..moreso Watson..but that's it. They've done a great job otherwise.

Draft picks aren't real. They're arbitrary. You just keep trading future picks for current picks. Future picks unlimited resource.  5d Majong.
