Kparty15
I’m glad we didn’t draft Fulton or Johnson in the 1st. I’m not a fan of Johnson’s shoulder issues and I’m not a fan of Fulton’s lack of playmaking and how frequently he got away with holding which will get penalized a lot in the NFL.
CriminalMind
I would have taken Noah ahead of him. So prove me wrong Jeff.
VikeManDan
Hard to argue trading down from 25 to 31 and only one other CB was taken. Rick worked the board as Gladney seems like a true Zimmer CB. 4th and 5th are hopefully Trent Williams/trade up ammunition.

RpMc
Trade down was shrewd - Vikings were very likely to still get a corner they liked by moving down 6 spots, and they now have more ammo to move around with/trade for immediate help.

SemperFeist
I think Gladney was the most commonly mocked player to the Vikings.
Taylor0026
RS senior so you know what you are getting? Fifth year option on him now. Run L-R in dime package (Boyd -Hughes-Gladney-Hill) + another CB and S we pick up in the draft? Edited April 24, 2020 by Taylor0026
SemperFeist
Alexander, Hughes, and now Gladney. I think Zimmer has a type. Gladney is fairly long for his height. 4th longest arms in this CB class.

Gladney is a little shorter, changes direction better, and makes more plays on the ball in the air.

Unfortunately, it is unlikely either of the rookies will be as good as the guys they are replacing, at least initially. Would the team be better off not replacing a starting corner and the most explosive player on their offense? Treading water is usually better than the alternative. SteelKing728
I thought the pick was going to be Fulton. No complaints with Gladney. I'm glad we traded back and still got him. Skol!

You take out Noah's game against the Gophers and the fact both his parents are Olympians, his draft stock I feel would be a hell of a lot different. It was his best game all season long no question but good for him, still feel he was over drafted and so was CJ Henderson. At least Gladney can find the damn football in the air and rarely turns the wrong way and rarely uses the wrong hand to deflect passes, unlike Henderson and Igbinoghene.
