No. We run the crap out of the ball.

Jones got 60% of the snaps. Williams 35%, Ervin, etc. got the other 5%

Williams is a good, not great, role playing RB in the last year of his deal.
You can pay Jones, and have this guy on a rookie deal, so long as the Jones deal is 3 years or less.

Williams is a jag and nothing more. Pointing out his "intangibles" is just silly. Dillon can be special and he does jump out on tape. Super fun to watch how strong he is.

Williams is better in pass pro and 5x the receiver.  Dillion is a battering ram who's got more miles on him than any back in the draft not named Taylor.  He's going to have a very short NFL career with his running style.  He's also a terrible receiver out of the backfield.

You don't draft a RB for a succession plan, you just don't. It's a plug and play position.

That being said, a snowy game like Carolina where the Smith Bros and Clark are wreaking havoc as we score 24 points in a win as Jones, Williams and Dillon get 40 carries sounds like a nice way to spend a December Sunday afternoon.

Right.  He's going to be a 3rd string RB best case.  He's a plodder that offers nothing as a receiver.  No where near the runner that Jones is and he doesn't have the intangibles that Williams has.  Unless we lose a RB to injury,  he doesn't offer anything for next season.

Someone's never watched AJ Dillon. Calling him a battering ram is doing him a huge disservice. He has great vision and explodes out of the smallest holes. We just massively upgraded RB2 for 2020, at the very least.
