If you think that the player you pick is the one that fits what you do and will help you the most then that's the value. The Patriots valued Keene more than the other TEs available. I'm not saying that this or any of the picks are/were the best player available when drafted, but the Patriots have a lot more scouting tools available and tons more knowledge than what we do. I hope they all have great careers as Patriots.
Elky
There's really no such thing as a "reach" (for the most part at least); if you really like a player it's much better to get them a round early than one pick late. No one knows what Belichick plan is, but here's my guess: 1. He believes in the WR corps. We still have Jules. Harry has a year under his belt and despite his lapses last season he showed some potential. Sanu is healthy. Meyers flashed in the preseason. 2. He's addressing the tight end position. We all know how much Belichick values the position and only Chicago had a bigger black hole than us. 3. It looks like Stidham is the man barring free agency. 4. He wanted to rebuild the defense by starting with the safeties. Edited April 25, 2020 by Elky
Apparition
Good grief, I actually agree with Elky on this.
Hunter2_1
I thought Chicago had 9 Tight Ends?

I mean I hit on Kittle, was a big Dawson Knox fan last year. So I think I’m decent on the later picked TE front.
