One of their biggest Achilles heels is they do this all the time. They just trust that everything will work out and never trying to bolster things where if not everything goes perfectly, it's troublesome. They appear to be doing some things better this year, but that's still out there.

Wooooooooooooooooo. But really...there's nothing they can do about that now. Any sort of "weapon" they're taking at this point in the draft, is basically gonna be a jar on a shelf for most of the year at least. If not forever. They kinda made their choice on this back at the fork in the road that was Day 1 and 2. Now, Minshew is gonna have to live with it. A 6th wr with returner abilities wouldn't be bad

A 6th WR, barring injury, is purely depth (which I'm here for). But they only have one slot available at the position to make the roster. At TE you have Eifert, Oliver, and JOS making the roster. One spot open there.

Based on the salary difference plus oj is more well-rounded and brate is just a receiving te

Never mind that Howard is in the last year of his contract and going to walk after the season, they're trading the guy they have 4 more years of control over.

We already have a poor man's version of Brate in JOS who is a lot cheaper. If we're going to give up compensation and be paying a TE, it should be for a different type of TE.
