Tbh idk what we would give him I wouldn't give him a extension tell next year.

If Williams balls and gets a big deal elsewhere, we get a nice compensation pick. If the team gives him a three or four deal, then we don't have to worry about the LT position for a bit.

I raised this possibility a few weeks ago and thought it would be the smart thing to do.

Now I am less worried and happy we hit on all our needs the last three days.

Yeah, this is sort of a weird situation for are you smarter than lol.

Man its been boring this year. At this rate we will end up trading the rest of our picks so only have like 2 or 3 picks to do.

Are we doing a new smarter than for after the draft that isnt live.

Really sad about Staley. I hated the pick when we made it but I was so wrong and I have loved the guy so much. I think he has a pretty good repuation and might end up in the hall of fame, but he's certainly one of the best lineman we've ever had. Absolute loss.

Love to get Trent Williams though. When healthy he's a top 4 tackle.

Could Staley not play LG for the final year of his deal? His contract is guaranteed so they are on the hook for his money no matter what I think.

We are fine at LG with Tomlinson. It's RG we have an issue with, and I think that's a lot to change over in a weird off season. Now you're flipping positions and sides. That being said, I really just think that this means that Joe is retiring.

If you move Joe, it will be to RT and McGlinchey to RG. Obviously moot point if Staley retires. Doubt this move is made if Staley is returning.

I was wrong, Maiocco really is the GOAT lol.

I agree that it makes more sense to move McG. But yeah, Joe is retiring. I think that is clear.

"Restructure"

What does that mean for a one year deal? Adding a voidable year??

Yes, most likely. One or two. Or moving to more of a per game structure that we are so fond of.

If Staley is retiring, i don't know why we need to restructure it though. We would have enough money.
