Texans signed TCU OG Cordel Iwuagwu.

Iwuagwu (6’3/309) was a captain and three-year starting left guard at TCU who earned an All-Big 12 honorable mention as a redshirt senior. He has a wide base and NFL size, but he can be stiff in his movements and isn’t as strong as others in the class (25 bench reps). His range as a run-blocker is limited by his 32nd percentile adjusted SPARQ athleticism, and he allowed five sacks in pass protection last season. Iwuagwu, who will be a 24-year-old rookie, figures to compete for a final spot on an NFL roster if his knee injury isn’t a long-term issue. He has missed 12 games over the last four seasons.

Texans signed RB Scottie Phillips.

Phillips posted career-long 278-1,470-17 rushing and 18-182-3 receiving lines while playing for Ole Miss from 2018-2019. Previously he spent 2016-2017 at Jones County Junior College in Mississippi. His senior year could've been much more prolific if he wasn't hampered by ankle and knee injuries. While Phillips demonstrated some ability to make plays in the screen game, he's still far from polished as a receiving back. The bowling ball demonstrated solid-enough speed (4.56-second 40-yard dash) and might have enough versatility to battle for a practice squad spot.
