Bianconero
I would like to dedicate this thread to all things Mr. Joe Douglas This man delivered us fans a draft that we actually really like, and not pretend-like, but genuinely like

rickyt31
He's doing everything right so far. He's still not done. He's definitely building his NY Ravens and I love it. All of these players have toughness and/or leadership skills along with skills most of us are happy about.

NYJets4716
Give him time he took over a roster that was built wrong. Hes been making moves that make sense and we are in great financial position for the future. No reason why Jamal Adams shouldn't get paid imo, that's not me getting personal either hes a elite player and Douglas needs to show that we retain our talent. The depth and competition on this team is better than last season. Talent isnt great, but heading in the right direction. Douglas had a tough job, we had glaring holes at every position almost.

KimuraGod
Omg the the first time in a while we actually look like we’ve got a talented and competitive roster.
rampantjet
I think the biggest differences are the sheer depth of CB and OL
Rockice_8
I don't see any glaring holes but I could see Douglas looking to continue to upgrade. OLB since Jenkins is a 1 year deal. WR opposite Mims should Perriman not be a long term answer and more OL help. I love the depth on the OL though.
SDotNova
It’s a good roster. Our defense will be good. It can be great if Q and Austin take a step forward. Our offense looks ok. It all hinges on how good of a scout Douglas is. If Fant plays average, our OL is solid. A lot of X factors on offense. Mims, Becton, Herndon, Fant and Perriman. My favorite group is the DBs. Can’t wait to see what Gregg does with them.

Plus if he's so great at grabbing these depth players and late round picks then we won't need to go out and buy depth and we can pay Adams.

Bobby816
DL and the secondary are set up for awhile potentially. OL is trending in the right direction as well. Will more than likely still need an edge and WR going forward in future drafts.
doumeyer
Douglas is the gm we all have been waiting years for. There hasn't be this much controversy on what position was more important to fill O line or WR since the year the Jets had to pick between Joe Namath or ND Heisman trophy winner John Huarte. The problem was the Cards drafted Namath One overall in the NFL and the Jets were going to draft Namath # 1 in the AFL So what did our owner & GM Sonny Werblin do he drafted both Namath & Huarte. In those days there was no social media or forums to debate it was all done by fans in bars.

Those names will be green in a few years if we continue to draft the way we did this weekend. In Joe we trust.
