Wilson has a good chance to be the 2nd QB off the board, although there are some reported character concerns.

Meh, I'm skeptical of his talent.

But character concerns are bs. I've not read a single thing prior to the other day about it. If anything, the narrative was the polar opposite before. Those concerns look like a poorly constructed smokescreen (so probably coming from Detroit).

Seems like there is a lot of gloom the way we finished the season, and people want to blow it up. I feel like we are an average team like our record, we need better coaching and more talent on defense.

Dont Be stupid to let walk: Hankins, Agholor, Booker

Updated Draft/Free Agency starter needs:

-DT

-DE - idc bring in another guy.
-LB- keep boosting the overall talent

-FS

- G- idk if Simpson is that guy, and Richie probably done.

-RT- Trent Brown could go with that salary. He’s not really a difference maker. Would rather use that money on an impact DL and draft a RT we can could on.

improve depth:

DL, LB, CB, S, IOL

Picking 16th now not a lot of room to go up with another loss. Unless the Niners win and Pats win.

My guess is we lose and end up with Pick 13. Either we’re drafting an OT and trading Brown, a CB, an EDGE and switching to 3-4 by hiring Wade Philips, or trading up for a QB.

One of those four options. We are not taking a DT or S at that spot.

I think if we are switching to a 3-4 we are going to need as much front 7 help as possible and therefore not picking a OT at #13.  Probably a rush LB if one is there or more likely a 3-4 DE.  If we drop Brown then we could get away with spending $10 million on his replacement.  Preferably someone who does not have durability issues.

Ferrel - Hankins - Irving

#13 - Kwiat - Littleton - Key

Definitely room for improvement there but that is as close to a 3-4 as we got right now.

@jrry32 suggested Crosby as a 3-4 EDGE which I actually think is a perfect fit for Crosby. Then we can draft a 3-4 DE or another 3-4 EDGE. Littleton and Kwait as ILB’s which would be good fits for them.

I am not sure about Crosby playing 3-4 OLB.  It would definitely be his best fit but we might be better off trading him to a 4-3 team.  I am not an expert  or even good figuring this stuff out but I would imagine we would want a better athlete at the position.  Maxx is high effort but not twitchy or powerful.  Then again neither is Key.  If it works then it is one less whole to fill and I am all for whatever works best.

I am not sure Crosby will ever be a good run defender as a 4-3 DE.

He may just be a situational pass rusher but if we are going to switch to a 3-4 we might be better off trading him to a 4-3 team before it is obvious he can only do that.  He could still develop and be great but when will we get the most out of him.  Are the chances higher that he develops into a good 3-4 OLB or could we get a better 3-4 OLB from the pick we get in a trade.  We do not know for sure but you have to take an educated guess.  I would leave that up to the experts.

If Denver loses today, the lowest we can drop is 14. If we win next week we can rise to pick 17.

I've hear a lot of good things about Owusu-Koramoah, but man....his size is scary. He's the size of a WR.
