jimkelly02
Does anyone know if we paid O’Leary the 137.5k bonus in his contract? If so does he have to return it or does he get to keep it and we have to eat it in dead cap. That’s be pretty ridiculous if we had to pay him and take the cap hit.... since he literally never even went to a single workout before retiring. Humble_Beast
Sports going be crazy at the end of next month. Everything is starting back up around the same time. During this break I actually enjoyed some time away from sports, but of course looking forward to football. The intrigue of What roster bubble player might make the team. Can’t wait!

Haha yep its a short period of intense optimism usually 😀, who's going to be that camp superstar this year who's going to 'set the league on fire' and ultimately just squeek onto the end if the roster? Gafford could make a few splash plays and get everyone's hopes up or White at LB maybe, feel good story. Peterman to unseat both Carr and Mariota after a couple scrambles 😁😁
agarcia34
They’re saying how the practice squad size will most likely get bigger just in case someone on a team comes down with COVID. So that’s good for these end of the roster type of players. I remember the reports about Arden Key his rookie year in camp. Was just beating everyone and just couldn’t put it together on game days. I wonder if a player like him even makes the team.

That way teams can monitor and analyze each players workouts. I bet they have a system even better than that. All teams probable will use them. I know guys have been getting workout instruction from trainers already.

Also, I think Key makes the team near 100%, whose gonna beat him out: Aruna or Valoaga? As I and a few others have mentioned a few times, were still lacking competition at several Positions. IMO it’s so bad that I think around half of our Practice Squad will be comprised of players who are released at the deadline. Who is even a decent PS player besides Stanback RB, Butler Or Bowers TE (we highly overpaid him as a UDFA so he has an edge to make PS), Gafford or Pierson-El WR, Cotton G, Valoaga or Aruna DE, J. White LB, Mabin or Harper or Jordan Brown CB, Leavitt S... plus possibly Peterman and Devey/Kush as the 2 unlimited experience PS members. My point being I can’t see any real surprises at the cut deadline... outside of maybe Devey/Kush/Parker fighting for a spot. The only “surprise” player I’ve seen anyone on the board project to (possibly) make the 53 man roster is Javin White LB (UNLV UDFA Safety to LB convert). I don’t think White makes the active roster but rather goes on the Practice Squad. I don’t expect Ukeme Eligwe to make the team but based on nothing but a hunch I’d bet he’s the “surprise” player to make the team this year. We really need to upgrade the bottom end of the roster at RB, OT, DE, DT, MLB, WILL, SAM, and S.
