I actually think 23 would be perfect for horn

It certainly is possible. But if you look back over the past 5 drafts or so, CB’s are one of the top position  picks in first round. If Horn is considered a top 4 or 5 CB, it would be close.

I do think if we decide to stick with Darnold you pretty much HAVE TO pick D Smith. Whether that's at 2 or a slight trade down... I don't know. But IMO he'd have to be the pick.

Otherwise just draft one of Fields or Wilson if we are changing QBs and trade Darnold.

Zach Wilson throws one of the most accurate balls in college football. His worst year was 2019 and he still had a 62.4 comp. % and 7.5 average yds per throw. This year he improved drastically 73.5 comp. % and 11.0 average yards per throw.

You must be a numbers guy. Just beacsue the % is high does not tell the story. You have too look and see how big the window is and how much the WR had to change on the fly. Did he throw it behind him and the guy catch it and fell to the ground where if he had thrown it on target he would ahve had a big play for a score. They both count as a catch but one throw would not be completed and the other would not. Wilson had huge windows to throw to where Mac had smaller windows to hit when he was not throwing to Smith. Now if you look at when Mac threw to Smith he hit him in stride a lot causing Smith to get massive gaines.

I want Smith no matter if we keep Darnold or not.
