Even though we already have two good linebackers, Collins' ability to rush the passer could possibly make life a lot easier for our edge rushers. He is supposedly also very good at dropping back into coverage. I think he is going to be a very good NFL player.

I think Collins won't be a premier edge guy but he's definitely a guy who can rotate there and also give some creativity to do things and potentially a replacement for schobert who's a bit overpaid and might not be a scheme fit. Only thing I might change is taking Barmore because of all the bodies we got on the idl tho none of them are true elite guys

We got Trevor & Pitts and still landed Jevon Holland, which is a big need, and Gainwell would be a nice weapon too.

KhanYouDigIt
With all the dudes we signed in FA, I could see us packaging picks to move up.

We should be looking for difference-makers at this point. We have enough bodies for depth.

It seems like that was a large reason for the way FA was handled. Build depth and down roster strength and fortify positions with passable players so that we can use some additional picks to aggressively target the players we think can make a difference. I wouldn’t be shocked at all if we only end up with ~6 players drafted when it’s all done.

Hence we need to get up to 4/5 and get pitts
skaterbirdhouse
Not sure if anyone here subscribes to the Athletic but they talked fairly extensively about how many young players we have under contract and the number of picks we had last year/this year basically suggesting we almost need to consolidate somewhat which I agree with. Can't go into the season with half the roster being 1st/2nd year players. We are in a position where whether it's in the first or 2nd we will move up to target players I think. Either that or trade some picks for additional picks next year in higher rounds.
