soflbillsfan
Since 2013 only 1 player has been signed to a 2nd contract on the Dolphins that was drafted by the team in the 1st round. Devante Parker

SteelKing728
The dolphins cannot evaluate DE talent. They also cut Taco Charlton. What was his deal anyways?

I guess they couldn't find a trade partner for him.

I don’t really see either player fitting their scheme if they do.

Devante Parker To be fair, the good ones drafted were traded (Tunsil/Minkah) as part of the rebuild. But Tannenbaum was not very good at his job. 19 minutes ago, SteelKing728 said: The dolphins cannot evaluate DE talent. They also cut Taco Charlton. What was his deal anyways? Taco's? His deal is that he's not very good. He was a healthy scratch the last few games for the Dolphins last year. Think about how bad you have to be to not even be on the active roster for that 2019 Dolphins squad. Just now, Counselor said: Are they running a 3-4 these days? Well, for as much as anyone is actually in their base defense these days.
RuskieTitan
Didn't he test poorly for being an edge rusher? Think he was a surprise first round pick, most folks expected him to bust. Miami did Miami things though.

It seems like ever since they correctly gambled on Cameron Wake, the NFL Gods have taken their vengeance.
FinSting
Fun looking back at the predictions. Steven Ruiz's column after the 2017 draft: 22. Charles Harris, OLB Missouri — Miami Dolphins Grade: A Analysis: Cam Wake won’t be around forever and the Mario Williams signing was a bust. The Dolphins needed an edge rusher and got one of the best defensive ends in a deep class. He’s explosive off the line and will burn slower tackles around the edge. His technique is refined and he will be ready to play from Day 1. Miami got a good one. Also, 10. Patrick Mahomes, QB Texas Tech — Kansas City Chiefs (from Buffalo) Grade: C- Analysis: Calling Mahomes a project is a major understatement. He’s nowhere near ready to play in the NFL. And, honestly, he may never be. Between his inconsistent accuracy due to poor mechanics, his tendency to bail from clean pockets and his lack of field vision, he’s going to leave as many big plays on the field as he creates. This was a risky pick.
