And he's going to be our defensive coordinator by week 10.  The first time Pettine ****s up through stubbornness and unwillingness to adapt.  The only question is whether or not he will switch us to a 4-3 during or at the end of the season.

I don't think so.

But maybe you could do a final coaching roster instead of a final player roster.  IF you promoted Gray, you're going to need some backfill.

Either way, it will be glorious when we go from 20th in points allowed at the midpoint and end the season 13th only to allow under 20 points a game for each of our playoff games, including the Super Bowl.

Is that what happened in your Madden franchise mode?

A few surprising cuts here but who knows. I think Burks and Summers will contribute this year.

Sometimes I wanna give you an 'AMEN', but it usually turns into an 'aww man?'.

I also see Cole Madison fighting for a starting spot. One of the guards we drafted will get moved to the PS. I believe it will be Simon.

I started looking at doing this tonight and a few initial thoughts:

1. One thing that is both a strength and a weakness is there seem to be far fewer players than normal who I would be shocked if they made the final roster, both because the last guy projected in is a bit worse than normal but there are more who could breakthrough that I would project to be on the outside looking in.

2. The Packers really need a few of last year's mid-to-late-round picks and UDFAs to take a second year leap. If a couple of the Nijman, Keke, Bolton, Summers, Hollman group turn into legitimate options it would help solidify those positions.

3. I think Samuels either makes the roster or is left off the practice squad. He sounds like the most polished of those vying for the sixth corner spot so if he can't win it, especially if the combine speed looks legit, the other options might have more upside.

4. Long shots who will make it: With the likely shorter offseason, I'll go with a couple of guys who have been with the team for a season, Malik Taylor and Greg Roberts.

I'll take a way too early stab at this for some fun to pass some time. I probably wont list all the PS guys, but just the noteable ones.

QB: Rodgers, Love [2]
H-Back: Deguara (reps at TE too) [1]
RB: A'Jones, AJ Dillion, J.Williams, Ervin [4]
TE: Lewis, Sternberger, Tonyan [3]
WR: Adams, Funchess, Lazard, Begleton, St. Brown, Kumerow [6]
OL: Bakthari, Jenkins, Linsley, Turner, Wagner, Patrick, Runyan, Hanson, Nijman [9]

DL: Clark, Lowry, Keke, Lancaster, Adams, Hester [6]
OLB: Z. Smith, P. Smith, Gary, Williams, Garvin [5]
ILB: Kirksey, Burks, Martin, Summers [4]
CB:
King , Alexander, Sullivan, Hollman, Jackson, Samuels [6]
SS: Amos, Scott [2]
FS: Savage, Redmond [2]

ST: Crosby, JK Scott, Bradley [3]

TOTAL: Offense [25] | Defense [25] | ST [3] = 53

Stepaniak will be at least PUP to start and maybe IR after that

PS Guys to note: MVS WR (if still eligible), Cole Madison OG, Travis Bruffy OT, Patrick Taylor RB, Willington Previlon DL, Tipa Galeai EDGE, Curtis Bolton LB

Lane Taylor will be cut sometime either before training camp or if he makes it to TC then I think he is a deadline trade guy so that likely bumps someone out (Lancaster is my 53)

Lol at MVS being at the PS and being behind Begelton and Kumerow. That's never gonna happen.

Why’s that? MVS lost significant snaps this past year and was essentially behind Kumerow at the end of the year. There was obviously something there that caused him to play less and less as the season went on and the staff has said they want to try to get Kumerow more involved. I think MVS has to take a big step to regain whatever trust/confidence lost.

I doubt we PS MVS, but wanted him as a bubble guy, but just couldn’t get 7 WR to work.

I doubt we PS MVS, but wanted him as a bubble guy, but just couldn’t get 7 WR to work.

Three reasons:

1. Shortened preseason where new additions like Begleton will have problems adjusting. Usually veterans have bigger chances, now the difference it's even bigger due to the difference in the learning curve. MVS is the guy with most snaps played in the Packers after Adams.

2. MVS is the only guy who is a real vertical threat. He ran a 4.37, the next fastest guy y ESB with a 4.48. Begleton and Kumerow are not fast. He is a different type of reciever that any teams needs. Different weapons are needed in offenses. This one in particular is quite important for the LaFleur offense if he wants to play a lot of play action and RPOs, since it stretches the defense. If we had another speedster in the team I wouldn't probably think the same.

3. He's cheap.

There are 5 WR that unless something unforeseen happens are going to make the team: Adams, Funchess, MVS, Lazard, ESB. The sixth spot is either for Kumerow or Begleton.
