I would agree with this...maybe Earl Campbell....and Okoye had to literally be a nightmare for LB's and safeties.. could you imagine that running right at you with a full head of steam?

Aaaaaah- jrry32 would flatten him!!

The last fullback. Oh for the days of Alstott and Larry Centers.

For real. I miss those days. Tony Richardson, Lorenzo Neal, Moose Johnston, etc...as a Raider fan, bloody Jon Ritchie will forever be one of my all-time favorites...

Watching football, having a fullback in gives too much away. just crowd the line of scrimmage and hit the line hard. have someone on each WR and one deep safety and one read to bail, and you will probably do ok.
but those great fullbacks were cool, I wonder where they have all gone, it is not like they have other sport potential. they didn't turn into basketballers.

Honestly can't say for the old timers, but a few names that come to mind that haven't been mentioned. Brandon Jacobs, Marshawn Lynch.

Yeah.  Brandon Jacobs absolutely deserves a mention.

Alstott was the first thing that came to mind for me, along with some of the other usual suspects.  Bettis, etc.

I feel like giving Peyton Hillis a brief, one year only mention because that was still one of my favourite flash in the pan moments of weirdness in the NFL and he definitely ran some people over that year.

Mike Alstott was a good one, at times he flashed the potential of a Riggins or Bettis. But Alstott had fumbling issues, and the Bucs couldn't trust him to be the focal point of the attack, even after Dunn left. Certainly had value as a receiver, and short yardage specialist, but isn't the HOF candidate some make him out to be.
