.Buzz
I like this one. Desperately need a change of pace guy and Thompson is very solid. Not a long term fix but as a stopgap...I like it. Been waiting for this to get announced.

Scoundrel
This is a good pickup to add sone variance to that backfield.
JaguarCrazy2832
I like Thompson as a pass catcher and he’s not a terrible runner either. Just seems to have a big problem staying healthy

Yea I tend to agree with this. If you aren't bringing him back you ride him til the wheels fall off... I think @.Buzz is saying if we increase his workload he'll break before end of November

At least your OC will know how to use him when he's on the field.

What does that even matter? So we should "run him into the ground" just to do it? Giving him a high volume of touches and force feeding him isn't a winning strategy. We just added Shenault, Eifert, and Thompson while hoping for the continued development of Oliver, Chark, etc. You don't limit their touches just because you have a RB that is gone after this year. I think @.Buzz is saying if we increase his workload he'll break before end of November Has nothing to do with it. The offense was literally ran through him last year and we were largely stagnant. What the heck is the point in force feeding him the ball if it's not helping us win? He's a solid RB, but I don't understand this logic of pounding him into the ground just because he's gone next year. If it's working/we're winning by doing so then by all means...but I think it's been established that's not what happens when we run our offense through him. Gruden coming in is going to have more of a pass heavy approach as it is. He's not going to get that same volume as last year.
pwny
Giving a career 4.0 YPC carry back with injury issues unlimited carries doesn't seem like a formula for success, but 🤷🏼♀️
