Phase 1 involves allowing 50% of staff in a building at once (no more than 75 total people). No players are allowed in unless they were in the process of rehabbing.

Phase 2 will involve more staff and players.

I’ve read nothing about team doctors and physicians specifically.

Gotta love the NFL's methodically pushing a "business as usual as much as possible" agenda while other sports, government and business organizations seem to be floundering around with their thumbs partially or fully up their butts.

The nfl has flexibility. It is the most watched entity on TV in America.

They can do what they want and when they want.

Other sports can’t claim the same.

You think the NFL would be having games right now if this was their season?

The league is just the beneficiary of timing. Also, letting 75 people in a building is a little different from 75,000 in a stadium. During shift change, my building has at least 75 people in it every day. So let's not overstate the significance of this announcement.

The league has been relentless in its determination to proceed with a season.

This was just another example of its resolve.

Not sure how that can be can twisted into overstatement of the specific action.

You literally said other sports had their thumbs up their butts compared to the NFL based on this action.

That is a bit of an overstatement when you are talking about letting 75 people into a building.

Now compare that to this:

https://www.nytimes.com/2020/04/15/sports/baseball/major-league-baseball-coronavirus-study.html

or this:

https://www.cbssports.com/nba/news/coronavirus-nba-to-reopen-practice-facilities-in-states-with-eased-stay-at-home-guidelines-may-8-per-report/

or this:

https://nypost.com/2020/04/11/nhl-has-several-plans-in-works-for-potential-coronavirus-return/

When you do some basic research, you'll find no thumbs anywhere near any butts.

The date got pushed back to May 19th. I’m not expecting a whole lot of action during May and June. However, in July IF camps are a thing, that’s when I expect we will hear Clowney and any other free agency rumblings.

Never mind.

Just saw it in your free agency post.

I think physical exams will trigger some signings.

Yeah, we dont want Clowney on the books if we dont have a league year, the next two months will be interesting. If we dont have a league year we will cut Vernon too.

If there’s no league year I wonder if the contracts would just hold over until the next year

I’d imagine yes. How much different can it be than when Josh Gordon kept getting suspended and held under contract?
