WR. Andre Johnson

I can agree with this one, some of those Charlie Cassery/Dom Capers teams were just horrible. Things got better during the Kubiak days, but man, the early days were brutal.

JJ Watt.

I'd hesitate on this one. If memory serves me correct, he's only been on one losing team (the 2-14 Texans from 2013). Outside of that, every team he's been on has been 9-7 or better (he was injured for the 2017 season, that was a big reason the team went 4-12).

The Texans have underachieved, sure. But I wouldn't call it a wasted career.

How about Nnamdi Asomugha, great shut down CB on a terrible Raiders team, Janikowski and Lechler too were excellent through some pretty bleak years. Chris Spielman for the Lions was pretty good too but toiled through.

Asomugha actually benefited from being on such terrible teams. It made him look like he was a lot better than he really was.

Takeo Spikes comes to mind.  Great LB, always seemed to find himself on a terrible team.  IIRC, he never he went to a playoff game?

To make matters worse, whenever he left the team made the playoffs the following season or very shortly afterwards.

Wasn't Fletcher on those Greatest Show on Turf teams?

Was he? I was thinking his career was with Buffalo and Washington, but I could be misremembering...

Edit: Yup, 1998. Forgot about that.

As far as my thoughts...

RB: Stephen Jackson

WR: Andre Johnson

TE: Delanie Walker

DE: Justin Smith

OLB: Takeo Spikes

MLB: London Fletcher

He had some pretty solid team success with those Harbaugh 9ers teams, right?

Now Bengals on the other hand...
