He won’t last as long or win as often as Brady, so no.

I think with advances in modern technology and his future income that he can last for a very long time. He’s also got Reid as his HC for probably 10 years health permitting, who has had many winning seasons without Mahomes.

Let's put some number up. Suppose Mahomes plays 15 more years and amasses 75,000 yards, 550 TD and three titles. Who is the Goat?

Pat does not need to play 20 years and win 6 rings to surpass Brady for me

If bulk stats mattered for a GOAT, Marino and Tarkenton would have been viewed as GOATs

This was his second full year and he already sustained injuries and the lack of running hurt his overall quality.

He won’t have the same longevity

How many years did it take Jordan to reach the finals?  Hmmmm.

As the greatest basketball player ever he didn't win squat without a supporting cast either.

Not to mention Mahomes won with easily the best offense in football and the best coach not named Belichick

With QBs, they are considered the "best" by wins and championships. And no, "many" people don't consider Sanders the best RB. Some do. But RBs arent really judged on wins and championships as much as QBs

This doesn't even make sense.

There's no definitive proof to confirm that there's a predilection to judge QBs based off of championships over any other position.

Again, championships are a team effort.

Barry Sanders is judged for not having a Super Bowl just as much as Dan Marino is judged for it.  But, jokes on you anyway, because neither of their careers are inferior to some of the other players at their positions that have won Super Bowls.

So much stupidity in one post.

Mahomes is already better than Brady when he's only been in the league for 3 seasons? Seriously?

And Mahomes wasn't on a good team with a good coach? Are we going to ignore the fact that Andy Reid has been a head coach since 1998 and KC has been perennial playoff contenders under him with Alex Smith?

You claim he's the SOLE reason they won the SB (ignoring how poorly he played for the majority of it), but then you say it's a team effort. Which is it?

Mahomes is the primary reason why they won the Super Bowl.

Why?  Because most of the SB winning team was already established before he got the chance to start, and Andy Reid is a fat joke.

He's been choking on postseason games for the entirety of his career.  He needed a QB with talent like Mahomes to drag him across the finish line and finally get a Super Bowl.

It was definitely a team effort to win the Super Bowl, but Mahomes was just the missing piece the rest of the team needed to get there.

Yes, Mahomes didn't play so well in the Super Bowl, but KC wasn't able to even get to the Super Bowl for only 50 years.

Mahomes's play on the way to the SB was much more typical for him, but again, winning the Super Bowl is a team effort in the end.

i want to see him win a 2nd, 3rd and 4th ring after signing his record contract before calling him a great one.

If he is able to lead his team to multiple championships w/ 20+% of the cap allocated to him alone i may consider him the greatest.

And, why is that?

Last I checked, Mahomes was playing in the same QB-preserving league that Brady does.

This is a completely baseless claim.

Dan Marino literally destroyed all the stats in his era lol. He broke 60000 yards. The only other QB’s to do so are Brees, Farve, Manning and Brady. The oldest of which debuted a decade after him. And all of them played most of their career post 2000. Same with TD’s. Exact same people are in front of. In both instances he’s the only guy that didn’t play any time in the 2000’s that is on the list sans Tarkenton who is 10 for TD’s and Elway who is 9 for yards.

Aka in his era Marino blew everyone away in statistics to the point where he rewrote the record book more than any QB.

He has 2 top 10 all time seasons in TD’s. Farve in 96 (tied for 14th) and Warner in 99 (tied for 10th) are only other QB’s in the top 20 that did it before 2000. He has a top season in yards in the 80’s. The whole top 25 except for Marino are people who did it in the last 13 seasons lol.

Let me make this very clear. If it had nothing to do with rings, Marino would have been the GOAT quite easily.

He never was considered the GOAT because of lack of rings. Barry Sanders is often in the GOAT discussion despite no rings and Payton and Brown who are his peers in that discussion have 1 a piece

So sorry, your statement is pure ignorance
