And, why is that?

Last I checked, Mahomes was playing in the same QB-preserving league that Brady does.

This is a completely baseless claim.

Brady is a pocket QB. Brees is a pocket QB. That’s why they are lasting long. Newton debuted a decade after both and he was a running QB. He’s injured constantly and had a much shorter peak and is now on the downslope. Luck ran more than them and his career is over. Rodgers debuted in 2008 and he is slowing down now after only 11 years as a starter. Ben debuted after both of them and he is slowing down before them and had more injury issues throughout his career. Flacco debuted after them and he’s done. Rivers just came off the worst season of his career and he debuted after them

You should probably view Brady and Brees as outliers who also play an older style which preserves them more in this league. The more mobile QB’s are leaving their high level of play after about 10 years and most of the pocket passers are still only stretching it 3-5 more years.

It’s easy for you to speak in platitudes without looking up where really happened

If bulk stats mattered for a GOAT, Marino and Tarkenton would have been viewed as GOATs

Marino is viewed as a GOAT. ;)

If you don't like bulk stats, 65% completion. Brady did it seven times. Mahomes has done it and averages 3% higher. Brady has done 8+ Y/A three times, Mahomes twice. Brady has done 9+ Adjusted Y/A four times, Mahomes once and also averages 9+.

There is no “a” GOAT. There a stupid thing dumb fans in the last couple years started using so they could use that term on anyone.

There is the GOAT. Through Marino’s career Montana was considered the GOAT until it became a debate with Brady in 2014 and was all Brady in 2016 and beyond.

Before that it was largely viewed as Unitas

Mahomes relies on his physical attributes. Those won’t last nearly as long as Brady’s cerebral attributes. Plus, Mahomes needs elite athletes on the team with him and won’t have the coach that Brady did. Brady had the perfect scenario for long-term success. I don’t think Mahomes will be that lucky.

I think with advances in modern technology and his future income that he can last for a very long time. He’s also got Reid as his HC for probably 10 years health permitting, who has had many winning seasons without Mahomes.

I don’t think Andy Reid makes it 10 more seasons. Especially if they win a few more titles.

Mahome MIGHT win a second Super Bowl. However, with his contract expiring soon and he's earned the right to be the highest paid QB, keeping a good team around him is going to be nigh impossible.

The Chiefs have a great FO & Coaching Staff. This should allow them to draft & develop replacements for players who become too expensive. Mahomes can also cover up a lot of weaknesses too.

This is crazy Brady has been doing is since 01

His/Patriots accomplishments in the last 20 years are crazy. 13 AFCCG appearances, 9 AFFCG wins, 6 SB wins. Will we ever see another stretch like that again?

No!!!

Neither He or the Chiefs will have the Division and or Conference dominance the Patriots and Tom just finished the past two decades. Also highly doubtful Mahomes wins 6 SB let alone makes 9.

Given the fact from this point forward he will be playing 1 extra gm a season might 15 years from now get him the bulk Stats needed for consideration but , you can't assume health for any player let alone 15 years from now. That's absurd!

That’s a good point he probably doesn’t. His health and age will be something to monitor.

Don’t worry though, because the Chiefs have got ‘Money’ Mike Kafka coming in to be the heir apparent. It’s a movie over 10 years in the making!

Heck no will we ever see a division as bad as the AFC East for that longevity of time. They gave a stat of how many QBs and coaches were together from each team since Tom and Bill United and it's astronomical we're talking like 20 per team

Stop with the empty semantics.

GOAT is from go to, as in the guy you go to in desperate situations. Even as you put it, Marino was GOAT in his day, so he is a GOAT but not the GOAT.

You also left out Elway.

BB has a 75% win rate in the playoffs too. Better than regular season %.

Reid, before the previous playoffs, lost more than he won.

It will be a struggle to get anywhere near what BB/TB have done, even though they have a ridiculous offense
