LA Stadium seeking more money

Recommended Posts

Wouldn’t have this problem with the Raiders in LA, PSLs would’ve been booming.

May need to look at Nashville first tbh.

Our stadium is full! Just ask all the opposing fans in it.

The Red Teams shouldn't have to bail out the Blue Teams because of their poor choices.  ;)

They should all come together and be purple teams then!

On a side note, I believe the Rams did wear red a long time ago. Maybe purple wouldn't be so bad afterall.

Rams owner requesting another $500 mil from the NFL to add to this stadium it will be $900 mil the league has come up with and the overall cost is between $5-6 Billion, which is about $3 Billion over budget. Kroenke and Goodell have really botched this one up. Hopefully this borrowing of money does not put the fans in jeopardy by Goodell demanding ticket prices to go up in order to recoup some of this money.

Whaaaaaaaaat??? $5-6 BILLION? The Vegas stadium is rumored to cost around $2 billion and it's uber state of the art. How in the world is this stadium going to cost around 3x as much? Simply because of being in LA?

Interesting comments blaming Kroeber, Snead and the Rams. This is in large part due to the fact that the Chargers ardunable to sell PSL’s. The financing for the stadium was set up with the Chargers sending an estimated $400 million from their PSL sales. Last report was the Chargers don’t think they’ll be able to reach $150 million in sales.

With Stan not needing the money personally and disliking Spanos I’d wager this is solely done to stick him with his share of this money. Also @Danger not sure what you mean by not footing the bill. Aside from the G4 loan this is all financed by Stan and the proceeds from PSL sales. There is no public money and very little from the Chargers revenues. In fact Stan has put in $1.8 billion of his personal money. No public funds to this stadium except a rebate if tax revenues for the city of Inglewood exceed a certain number to reimburse the Rams for paying for the infrastructure work the Rams have paid for.

Wouldn’t the bigger problem be that they are so over budget? The Chargers coming up $250 million shorter than promised is a drop in the bucket compared to be being $3 billion over budget.

Somehow the Jags were only one spot behind TEN in percent filled and we were atrocious and you made the playoffs.

Nashville is a fast growing city, idk how that happens.

I don’t think you could compare tbh. This is going to be the best stadium in the world. Host Olympic and every main event. The raiders stadium is nice and all, but that had the backing of every Casino goon in the world.

Wasn't @LeotheLion flexing about Kroenke's money lol

He could ask the Chargers for money if he wanted a co-owner. He obviously doesn't want that. He's self-financing a $5-6B stadium. That is a major flex. I don't like the guy at all but I can appreciate that he's not asking for taxpayer money.

Not to get into a pissing match but the Raiders stadium will likely do the very same. I think the Rams/Chargers stadium is going to be great but how can you even go over budget by three billion!? That's absolutely inexcusable. Does $4 Billion separate the LA and Vegas stadiums? Highly doubtful.

Speaking of Roomba's, surely they can be purchased at Best Buy, who the Rams seemingly used as inspiration for their uniforms.

I hate the guy more than anyone on this website but I don't know how you deny that this is a flex. He's spending 50% more than Mark Cuban's entire net worth on a goddamn football stadium.

This is like you living in a middle class subdivision and then your weird neighbor wins the lottery and puts it all in a huge McMansion. He might be a weirdo, but he's still got the nicest house on the block.

And we have a solid rebuttal. Well done.
