Shanedorf
We'll get this one started by thanking RT extraordinaire, Bryan Bulaga for a spectacular Packer career.Couldn't ask for more than what 75 delivered for a decade This verbiage below is how we lead off last years' OL discussion, pretty effing impressive PackersWire has some PFF comments/grades on Mr Bulaga, based on his 2018 performances "His pass-blocking grade during the 2018 season was the sixth-highest ever recorded by PFF, which has graded every game and season since 2006. He allowed only five sacks and 22 total pressures over 14 games and 559 pass-blocking snaps. His 84.1 pass-blocking grade trailed only Mitchell Schwartz among right tackles last season " PFF recently named Bulaga and left tackle David Bakhtiari the NFL’s second-best offensive tackle duo, noting the pair’s dominance in pass-blocking situations. Together, the pair gives new coach Matt LaFleur and veteran quarterback Aaron Rodgers the luxury of having reliable bookends to the offensive line " https://forums.footballsfuture.com/topic/19946-green-bay-packers-2019-offensive-line/?tab=comments#comment-1923181
Shanedorf
And here's the vet taking over his spot The West Allis, Wis., native and former Wisconsin Badgers offensive lineman has signed with the Packers, the team announced Tuesday. The eighth-year veteran has started 87 of the 102 regular-season games in which he's played, with almost all of his in-game action coming at right tackle. * Wagner made his first career start against the Packers as a Raven * He's been a steady, durable performer over the past seven seasons. Once a starter, Wagner has remained a starter. He started all but one game at right tackle for the Ravens from 2014-16 before signing a lucrative contract with Detroit as an unrestricted free agent in 2017. He started 12 of the Lions' first 13 games last year before a knee injury sidelined him for the final three regular-season contests. https://www.packers.com/news/five-things-to-know-about-rick-wagner Despite being a first-team All-Big Ten selection in 2012, Wagner wasn't drafted until the very last pick of the fifth round (168th overall). Current Packers director-football operations Milt Hendrickson was a member of the Baltimore front office that drafted Wagner. gopackgo972
It will take a step back without Bulaga. How big of a step remains to be seen but the FO must think the savings are going to be worth that step. If Wagner is a turn style then we may see Love sooner rather than later. Shanedorf
Another former 75, Runyan will be wearing number 76 in Titletown The Green Bay Packers believe rookie offensive lineman Jon Runyan, who started 26 games at offensive tackle at Michigan, will move inside and play guard at the next level. Both coach Matt LaFleur and GM Brian Gutekunst said they think Runyan is capable of playing his best football inside. “I think that suits his skill set best, is to get him inside,” LaFleur said following the draft. “He will compete to play inside. Here’s another guy, extremely smart, great character, started almost three years at Michigan, so we’re excited about him.” At the East-West Shrine Game, Runyan played mostly at guard. The Packers have done well transitioning collegiate left tackles with size deficiencies to guard. Josh Sitton, T.J. Lang and J.C Tretter all made the move inside and excelled at guard or center. Runyan, despite being a sixth-round pick, could be next.

He isn't Bulaga but you don't start 102 games in during this time if you are a turn style.

Runyan could eventually replace Billy Turner.
ThatJerkDave
The tackle position is a bit concerning. There are a whole lot of unproven players and not a lot of depth, after Bakhtiari and Wagner. Meanwhile, it seems that the interior is flush with talent. Jenkins-Linsley-Turner is pretty good, and we still have Taylor. We just paid Patrick and drafted 3 interior players. Perhaps we should have looked for a tackle too? Would I be less concerned if we had drafted Bruffy and signed Stepaniak? Also possible . Turner might not be what you're looking for at Tackle long term as a starter, but you're not dead if he has to play there for 6 games.

Rainmaker90
Bukowski has some good takes on the O-Line. He says while GB is not going to replace Bulaga’s production, the line as a whole can improve in other ways. Hopefully Bahk is healthy ( people speculate he wasn’t 100%, especially early in the year) Jenkins improving in the run game. Bill Turner and the line as a whole playing in year two with the new coach and scheme. I like the talent and the depth and line should be a strength of ours.
