buno67
https://www.geekwire.com/2019/nate-sterken/ “Sterken built a route recognition network, or RouteNet, that analyzed thousands of receiver routes run during week five of the 2017 NFL season. He was able to determine which route combinations produced the greatest success, and a key finding was that the flat-in-post route, a staple of the Steve Spurrier days at the University of Florida, was the best three-receiver route combination.”
MWil23
It puts a lot of stress on your force defender (flat/in) and baits the safety into driving on the in route, and if he goes with the post, the in/dig should be open all day. It’s a single post high/Cover 3 beater.

FGK
I wonder how the four verts with no breaks until 15 yards held up...

If your OLB/box S can’t run with the shoot it’s a race to the sideline and up the field for 7+ regularly. If he can/does, throw the slant behind his ear, and if the CB goes press man/cover 2 and plays the slant, go Quick fade/9 route.

If it doesn't work the first time, try, try, try, try, try again. Hue Jackson school for coaches who can't coach good.
candyman93
Don’t think Spurrier gets enough credit for his offensive brilliance. That quote isn’t surprising.

He has horrible QBs his two years with Washington.
