Jarrad Davis off season transformation

Read this today & saw the pictures..... Jarrad Davis has turned into a physical beast, let’s see if it transforms onto the field. He went from 227 to 248 pounds, Dropped his body fat from 14% to 9.8% & Increased his bench press from 297 to 375. Looks to me like he is taking this season seriously, hopefully it translates to more speed & physical player.

Not gonna lie, I always assumed he was the one on the right anyways lol

This feels bittersweet. Why did he wait to do this?

His issues are between the ears as well so I'm halting any optimism.

One word:  Contract

That being said, he needs to play a position that allows him to attack the football without having to worry about calling the defense.  Getting everyone lined up is just not his thing.  Personally, if he can even become slightly above average in coverage he will be a really solid LB.  He might be better suited as an ILB for a 3-4 scheme though.

He started this way before his fifth year option was declined. He has always been a workout warrior but wasn’t able to get more lean. They had to adjust his sleep and diet and it worked.

His physical attributes has never been the issue.

Well, maybe. He should be quicker, faster and stronger at the point of contact which will help him shed blockers better and keep up with routes better. This might be what he needed to be a very good LB.
