I think the in game decisions that surround the entire team are being hindered because hes focusing on the offense. He needs to allow Saunders, Lee or Kirby to take on more responsibility, they're plenty qualified.

I think it is alot like Captain D!ck Winters in Band of Brothers. He commanded Easy Company for a long time, gets promoted to be in charge of the entire batallion, and tries to micromanage them in a battle, until his superior, Col. Sink, snaps him out of it, reminding him that he's responsible for a lot more than just Easy Company.

I'm not saying he hasn't made mistakes, he has, but to think a new coach fixes this, or that Hue is in the position we're in is absurd IMO. This team hasn't been built to win right now, plain and simple. People don't realize that this is the FO's doing with stripping our team of all of the veterans, we have zero leadership and supremely immature. People need to relax and realize that with this roster, it will happen to any coach. 14 hours ago, LETSGOBROWNIES said: Nonsense. If that's the case, how long does that last for? Just today? Do we cut him and sign someone else? Do we never attempt a FG again as long as he's on the roster? How long do these rules apply? Hue let those misses cloud his judgment IMO. I disagree with this one, if this guy misses two bad kicks like that, going for is has to become an option. Or else you look like a fool lining up for a kick and missing it when you know the guy has zero confidence. I would have went for it too, especially when the OL has been starting to jell. I get why he went for it, but I think you take the points and tie the game. Neither is "right". As far as his confidence, you have to assume a professional will bounce back and be ready to go. You right about the professional part, but this kid is still learning what being a professional really is. It was all good when he was nailing kicks when there was no pressure on, its a different deal when a whole team is relying on you in a tight game. This kid is the All time leader in FG's made in NCAA history....he has made plenty of Big Kicks with the game on the line. As well as being the teams offense some day's. Yesterday was a complete Anomaly IMO. We are depending on Rookies to make clutch plays to win games....I think some of the patience should be extended to the Kicker also.... Gonzales also has OCD.....he'll shape up...

I 100% agree with you on the rookie part, that is the majority of the issue on our team. As far as Gonzales, why get rid of Parkey then if we have to go through these growing pains again, we went through it with Parkey in the Dolphins game last year, why go through it again with a new guy? As a HC he needs to learn to effectively delegate authority and allow his staff to take something off his plate. that is all mastercheddaar

His leg apparently. Parkey was decent, but he lacked the abilty to hit from 40+ consistently. Gonzales was accurate in college and has a big leg also.
