Nothing happened to Lamar, he was

A) not as good as his 2019 numbers, so regression was inevitable

B) OL play is not as strong

C) defenses are better equipped at handling this Ravens attack... not necessarily saying they've been "figured out" but you can bet DCs around the league take notice and prioritize a little bit more on how to stop an offense when it breaks records, like the Ravens did in 2019 behind a read option heavy offense. Not to mention, simply having more film on a QB and offense counts for something. The few occasions the Ravens O was lackluster in 2019 form a blueprint, and that blueprint only gets richer with every lackluster outing. Not exclusive to running QBs, any QB is going to have a tougher time when there is more tape on them, their weaknesses, tendencies, etc. It is up to them/coaches to adjust accordingly or they will fall behind.

He's still a fairly raw 23 year old QB in my eyes whose accuracy leaves a lot to be desired, especially in that 10-15 yard range. He's facing more pressure this year than last year, which is compounding the accuracy issues, and, although this is just a guess, but with the run game not as effective he is seeing more DBs in coverage when he drops back.

This can't be more overstated. People really expected this man to just make his 2019 season his entire career.

Also this, especially with Yanda retiring, RG and C have been a problem for us this year, especially in pass protection. Lamar is running for his life and rarely ever has a clean pocket.

This mainly boils down to our passing game. Defenses have completely figured out our passing game and how basic/uncreative it is. Couple that with the fact that we basically telegraph all of our personnel packages (hey, Patrick Ricard and Nick Boyle are in the game, it's probably a run or a play action pass!) + an entire year of film to study, and yeah that's the result. We're STILL running all over people, we just can't pass because our concepts are so bland, Lamar lacks the deep accuracy to consistently punish teams deep, and our OL can't give Lamar enough time to go through progressions anyways.

Bingo. And just to hammer this home about the "lAmAr iS gEtTinG eXpOsEd" people:

“All others” = the Falcons? Kidding, I know they’re two of the four. Still wild that we’ve got two teams who seem to love giving up big leads.
