Most stats are regular season only stats because not every team makes the playoffs every year, so a stat where X team has played 40 total games over 5 years but Y team has played 45 total games isn't really a fair comparison. So if stats include the playoffs, usually they'll have an asterisk indicating such. Edited November 9, 2020 by AFlaccoSeagulls

Still cracks me up people on here have been saying the above quoted things about him this season. Alvin Kamara has 565 receiving yards.... 542 yards are after the catch. His arm is shot. Doesn't mean hes not still a good QB. Payton is good at masking his weakness

Payton is good at masking his weakness lol of course he will go heavy towards Kamara, he was without Michael Thomas for 6 games, and Emmanuel Sanders for several games as well. He had multiple games this season where his WR room was Marquez Calloway TreQuan Smith Deonte Harris Taysom Hill If his arm was shot he wouldn't be able to continue to beat teams with it. He may not have a cannon and it isn't really his playstyle to do much in the deep passing game, but he has enough arm to get the ball where it needs to go, and is still very accurate. He's still very productive in the short/intermediate game. He's on pace for over 4,000 yards passing, and 38 touchdowns this season...And has just gotten his 2 best WR's back. Throwing outdoors in on a windy rainy day last night was more than enough proof is arm isn't "shot" as he was killing a good Tampa Defense with it last night. Shanedorf
Aaron Rodgers is 12 touchdowns away from becoming the seventh quarterback in history to record 400 touchdown passes. Here's how many interceptions the other six had when they threw #400: Brady - 143 Brees - 196 Peyton - 198 Rivers - 202 Marino - 231 Favre - 258 Rodgers has 86.

You have to break the season into 2 parts when dealing with the older QBs Early in the year, their arm is fresher and their legs too. But as the season rolls along, the elder statesmen lose a bit Carson Palmer talked about it at the end of his career. At the end of the season, people say: "Brees/Brady etc are losing it...!" ...Then they rest all off- season and look like champs again in September-November. Then the weather turns, their age catches up with them and they just don't have the same arm/leg strength they did earlier in their careers. The NFL season is a real grind, from practices to games and it takes its toll Sean Payton is smart to use Taysom Hill to spell Brees - he's managing the work load in an attempt to keep Drew solid until January - February

I feel like sometimes we just forget about how much better Aaron Rodgers is compared to other QB's throughout history, including Brady and Manning. Rodgers sat through post- game film reviews with Favre as the starter for 3 years. He learned all about INTs during his formative years in the league Now, there are some who say he should take more chances, but his low INT total is a badge of honor for him. He's also thrown only 3 pick sixes in his career , Brees has 27, Brady & Rothlisberger 16 and Russell Wilson checks in with 6 https://www.pro-football-reference.com/leaders/pick_six_active.htm

Shanedorf
Congrats to Brees and his fan club, that's impressive. It doesn't tell us how many air yards were involved in those TDs but they still count for 7 points. Blackstar12
The Colts defense held Baltimore to 2.9 yards per carry, a long run of just 9 yards and a long throw of only 21. The offense on the other hand ugh.

Brees is still an above average QB but his arm is clearly fading. I’m not quite seeing this stellar accuracy in his intermediate routes but he has, as always, looked real good throwing those RB dumps. Chiefer
Number of career interceptions when they threw for TD pass #100 John Elway: 95 Eli Manning: 75 Peyton Manning: 69 Jameis Winston: 68 Brett Favre: 65 Drew Brees: 63 Joe Montana: 54 Tom Brady: 53 Dan Marino: 44 Philip Rivers: 43 Aaron Rodgers: 34 Patrick Mahomes: 19 He’s not worth a first round pick they said He’s too interception-prone for the NFL they said
