I am slightly worried about how improved the Dline is in front of them.  Not that Sheldon Richardson and Larry Ogunjobi are world beaters, but Malik Jackson is good and Billings looked pedestrian in the pre-season.  I hope he fits the role on running downs that they need.

See my previous post about McDowell though, if he ends up starting and being what I think he can be then I may completely agree with you.

I think if Clowney is healthy, he’s the best run defender we’ve had at the position in a long time.

Takk adds some juice that we really didn’t have last year.

Sheldon was solid no doubt, but Malik seems like a comparable player.

Elliot hopefully makes a jump year 2.

Tommy at is nice depth.

McDowell is a wildcard for sure.

I agree with Clowney, I think people are talking about pass rush but his run defense is really what makes him stand out.

That being said, when talking about the "when healthy" portion of the argument, I don't think Vernon gets as much credit as he deserves with his run defense.

But yes, I agree overall improve but the question will definitely be how much.

So who mans the slot position? Higgins or platoon with the TE’s?

I love what we’ve seen from the TE’s so far, but I’d like to see the WR’s get involved more.

I don’t care who plays where, but this last week we didn’t really get the receivers involved at all.

Of course based on the limited results, I can understand why..
