But they won’t. Yeah for schedule changes they usually use the excuse that they don't want to inconvenience the fans but they can't really use that this year. Yeah, no fans, games are going to be moved a lot to begin with as long as players are testing positive. At some point you wonder if the players start to revolt if their health isn’t taken a bit more seriously.

The major difference between the NFL and other sports is that the window of potential success, paychecks, and careers is so shortlived. You can't afford as a football player to take a year off in most cases; at least not in their mind.

If enough high profile guys have had enough, the league will have to respond somehow. But, maybe none of them care. 🤷♂️

He's 43 and already violated a ton of COVID protocol in the offseason. Brees won't. He's almost done as is. Rodgers won't. He's out to prove stuff this year. ...it would have to take Mahomes and about 10 other superstars to make a point, and even then, it's likely they come to some sort of schedule resolution in which they still play 16 games vs. a shortened season altogether. JMHO

JMHO I was referring to a change in scheduling, they’re definitely playing 16.

In that case, sure, if some of those stars speak out. For example, Mahomes came into direct contact with Gilmore Sunday in the postgame handshake/hug (btw, our high school kids aren't allowed to do this), so if he "self quarantined" pending testing, as did a host of others across the league, then it could force more bye weeks and a season extension, which I've always thought made sense in an expanded 16-18 game schedule anyway. It's a win/win/win. More games and money for the owners and players. More rest during the season with an added bye week and less preseason games for the players (this should have already happened from a bye week standpoint as 1 isn't enough IMO) More "weeks of football", which is a win for fans

candyman93
I won’t be surprised if we have a pause in play this season. Any kind of break would help us right now. Our style of play will be sustainable as the weather gets worse.
