candyman93 Posted May 27, 2023 Author Share Posted May 27, 2023 So assuming we want only 4 DTs- The only “locks” are Tomlinson and Ika (you’re not gonna cut a 3rd round rookie before the final 53 unless he’s the worst player in camp and looks lazy). Those guys will play NT. I could easily see Hurst and Hill beating out Elliott, Winfrey, and Togiai. They’d probably keep Togiai on the practice squad. Winfrey is in a lot of trouble too. Money isn’t a big factor either because you’re talking about vet minimums versus rookie deals. Then at WR, Browns fans (not on this site) need to get over their obsession with Jakeem Grant. It depends on the level of play from those guys, they could be forced to keep 5 if there is someone kicking a** at a consistent level. The video said basically the LOB was the Tampa Bay 02’ defense. If you have 2 elite pass rushers and a bunch of solid or good pass rushers- You’re going to have a historically good defense. The only exception to that rule is the Colts defenses during the Manning years. There was nothing wrong with the scheme and they had all time great pass rushers.
