I don't know what the recovery time is, but he might miss alot of next season. I didn't hear it was that severe.

Seems to be just a standard break. Nothing at this point to show that it's something to worry about going forward.
Emerica
Yeah if anything it’ll drop him to mid-late teens, early twenties. He was looking like a possible top-10 guy especially since GMs always fall in love with speedsters at the combine.
Emerica
I know its weird to say for a team that is 3-3 but I don’t really see any glaring holes on this roster. I think we are at a point where we have capable starters at every position but now its the time to elevate the talent level of the roster and hope the younger guys can continue growing. - We could use a LB to pair with Baker and Van Noy. Roberts shouldn’t be starting on any playoff roster. When is the last time we had an elite/pro bowl level LB? - We need more pressure from our ends. Ogbah has looked good but other than him its been very bleak. Lawson has not been noticeable. Could use a legit pass rushing specialist to pair with Ogbah. - We could use a true #1 RB. Gaskins is a serviceable back but he’ll never be confused for an every down back. - We could use a deep threat WR to compliment Parker, Williams and Gesicki in the passing game. Something we hoped Jakeem would’ve grown into. I don’t see a future for him on this team. - We could use a true NT that attracts double teams to free up guys like Wilkins and Godchaux that can create pressure up the middle. - We could use another S to pair up with Jones and Rowe. McCain hasn’t looked horrible at S but he is clearly playing out of position and his body just isn’t going to hold up if it continues. - Could use OL depth. Davis/Hunt could both be good swing tackle options but injuries always happen. You never have too many good olineman. I still see LB as a huge, glaring hole. That hole seems to be about Micah Parsons-sized to me.
Swampbilly
My most recent Fins mock....... I think the first 5 picks are immediate upgrades with WR Seth Williams being a dynamic rotational player. I can see Najee Harris and Seth Williams both going round 2 realistically though. 8: R1 P8 LB Micah Parsons - Penn State 14: R1 P14 WR Jaylen Waddle - Alabama 40: R2 P8 S Hamsah Nasirildeen - Florida State 46: R2 P14 DL/NT Tyler Shelvin - LSU 77: R3 P13 RB Najee Harris - Alabama 116: R4 P14 WR Seth Williams - Auburn 195: R6 P16 RB Stephen Carr - USC 211: R6 P32 C Landon Dickerson - Alabama

I was thinking he would be an upgrade over Rowe. The data I’ve seen shows Rowe with 147 snaps in the box compared to 70 snaps at the traditional Safety spot. I see Nasirildeen being an upgrade over Rowe with that type of game plan for a Safety ( which is actually more likely about our inconsistent LB play vs the run ). PFF gives Rowe a 60.1 Defense grade vs Jones 68.6 and Mcains 75.6. Jones has played solid against the run with a grade of 77.1 ( albeit on a low overall snap count of 140 ) whereas Rowe has a run grade of 57.2 on a snap count of 315. Looking at these numbers makes me think we want a SS that is capable in the box vs run but equally as capable in the box vs pass. That’s what is making me target a larger size Safety in the draft. So not just a Safety as a nickel package LB but a Safety that’s comfortable playing at a LB depth in the box and a traditional Safety alignment depth. hrubes20
I'm gonna need to start looking closer at the guys projected in the 20-30 range.
Tetsujin
NT/DT Jay Tufele, USC sat out for COVID reasons. Big, explosive, skilled athlete would be an upgrade in the middle of our DLine

Hasn't he been "off" most of this season? I do think NT could be a legit R1 target position. Edited November 10, 2020 by Tetsujin
hrubes20
Just now, Tetsujin said: Hasn't he been "off" most of this season? I do think NT could be a legit R1 target position. He hasn't been rushing the passer as well as most thought he should be, but he's still been good in the run game. He has very little talent around him to help out right now. Taggart left that team completely devoid of defensive impact players. He's probably a 2nd rounder at this point, which I think ends up being a steal. Tetsujin
Some Day 2 guys: Baron Browning, LB, Ohio St a former 5* recruit that has worked his way into the Buckeye starting lineup now. Everything you want physically from an off-ball LB and getting better. Is being used in multiple roles.
Tetsujin
Chris Rumph II, 3-4 OLB, Duke Excellent, athletic, explosive edge rusher. Was PFF's highest-graded returning player in the ACC for this season. Medium-size for the position.
