I would be absolutely shocked if 3 of the first 4 picks weren't on the offensive side of the ball.  Very likely a WR/TE, OL, and RB.

Ain't it great to have the 'problem' of stressin about who to choose with four picks in the Top 50? One day I'm like "we need receivers at *both* 6 and 18." Then I'm like "no no, just go BPA which will likely be LB or DE." Then I'm like "wait, get Harris at 18, he's a very complete RB."

22 more days of speculation and changing the mind.

We signed a starting C in free agency.

Skura, a starting Center?  No Thank You LOL!!!  News has broke in the last few days that we have been looking for options at Center, even after adding Skura.

He’s a solid C when healthy.

He was having a good year in 2019 (PFF rating of 69 overall) before he suffered tears in all 3 collateral ligaments and a dislocated knee cap in Nov 2019.  Hopefully 2020 was just a case of him coming back too soon and not an indication of the severity of his injury.

I just did a mock simulation and got Devontae Smith at 6, Kyle Pitts at 18, Greg Rousseau at 36, Ronnie Perkins at 50, Rhamomdre Stevenson at 81, Tedarrel Slaton at 156, and Cameron Bynum at 231. I’ve been trying to figure out how to get the screenshot I took of it onto this post but I can’t do it, anyways that would be an incredible draft! I was really hoping Javonte Williams would fall to me in the second but I’ll take those 2 edge player in the second. Also Stevenson is gonna be a good back, there’s always one or two mid round backs who blow up, he’s good in the passing game and his flier could be the rotation guy who converts 3rd and 4th and shorts as well as grinding out games and wearing out defenses for the other backs to break some big ones, although he can do that himself, hopefully he hits his ceiling though and is a big powerful back who can also Cath passes on third down or pass block as well as beak some big gains and be a consistent downhill, tackle breaking, workhorse. Btw Flores worked with both Stevenson and Michael Carter from NC at the senior bowl and said both have great vision and he said other other good things about them. I think though that Harris is a lock at 18 if he’s there. Anyways lmk what you guys think about this mock draft.

I would love it if we got 2 edge players in this draft. Ideally something like Jaelen Phillips and Carlos Basham would really satisfy me. Phillips can play in a 4-3 or 3-4 on passing downs we could move Basham inside and line up Phillips next to him on the outside. That would give us Phillips and Ogbah on the outside and Wilkins and Basham on the inside. Idk I just think the alignment possibilities are endless with a guy like Phillips who can stand up or play with his hand in the dirt and a guy like basham who can play outside on early downs fo stop the run and slide inside on passing downs or keep him on the outside and mix it up another way. Anyways like I said, endless possibilities.

I’d like to get Rumph sometime after R4 if he’s around to be a speed rush specialist. I’m trying to figure out how this LB group will work out. Baker is a FA after this year. Maybe we pick up Surratt to be a similar passing down LB like Baker should ideally be.

Yeah, well I'll do ya one better.  I'll be shocked if #6 is not either a WR or LT.

I'll be shocked if #18 isn't edge or LB.

I'll be slightly surprised if our top pick in round 2 isn't o-line (or WR if we went o-line at #6).

And our second pick in round 2 should be either another WR or possibly an RB.

Just watched tape on Marquez Stephenson and man! I liked him before but I’m starting to really really like him, he’s a little bigger than Devontae Smith but he’s a lot faster, although he doesn’t have the route running ability Smith has. Could be a good pick up in the 4th or 5th if he’s there, not sure where our picks or exactly.

I like Rumph too but for a late round speed rusher I think Ellerson Smith could be a good option, guy had 14 sacks last year and has good height/weight.

Eff that.  I riot if they spend 3 top 50 picks on D, considering what they need still on offense.

Not a fan.  The speed and RAC ability are terrific, but he's not big and has a pretty terrible injury history.  But the worst thing with him for me is that he catches everything with his body.

I would definitely be surprised, we just traded for McKinney and we still have Baker so the ILB are set and in a 3-4 the OLBers are the edge so that’s pretty much the same thing, I do agree we need two edge rushers

Baker should be a nickel/dime LB only. We need an all-around OLB to replace Van Noy. All but 2 of our LBs are JAGs at best. I think it’s our weakest unit, talent-wise.
