No investigation into the Colts. In addition, the balls were measured using two gauges, but the refs didn't know which gauge created which numbers for the measurements they did at the beginning of the game, which could have easily led to the differences between those measurements and the measurements at halftime being straight up incorrect. It was shoddy evidence all along and, in the end, the case and punishment became about the power that Goodell can wield as commissioner, and nothing about whether footballs were actually intentionally deflated. It doesn't matter, though. People just believe what they want to believe. Every NFL fan should refute this bogus deflategate ish, because one day if their team ever get caught in the crosshairs, this blatant witch hunt stuff from the NFL could bite them and their team. They're not the Yankees, Red Sox, or Cubs, 3 historic MLB teams. The same concept can be applied to Bellichick. He is in many ppls eyes the best coach in NFL History. He isnt going out on someone else's terms Yeah, but the public perception of the NFL nowadays is not like how it was before Bill Belichick. In fact, the majority of people have very negative views of the current NFL, and how they fined Belichick for years instead of just throwing him out of the league like they should have. And, the NFL is more for profit now than ever before. "If Belichick cheats to get to another Super Bowl, who cares? Putting his team on prime time gives us more money." The NFL was never the drama show that is is today. Belichick's penchant for corruption has a lot to do with that.
