I see alot of Jack Eichel in Hischier. He's gonna be good as early as this year. I haven't seen enough Zacha to judge but he screams Winger to me.

Zacha officially our #1 C. He’s got good chemistry going with Hall and Henrique. Hischier and Johansson are skating well together so I’m good with that. Pairing Nico with MJ and Stafford is the smart move.

We aren’t making the playoffs but we’re going to be really fun to watch.

EDIT - Actually meant Palmieri, not Henrique.

Not only that, but if we don't make the playoffs, we have the lotto ball specialist on our team, so we are virtually a lock for the number one overall pick again, right?

That is the Taylor Hall way, isn’t it?

I’ll take another year of struggle if it means we get Dahlin to go with this young core.

Speaking of, Eichel is going to be an absolute monster this season. I'm really excited to see him play.

For the Oilers, expectations start now. We'll start against the Flames with a line up of:

Maroon - McDavid - Draisaitl
Lucic - RNH - Yamamoto
Jokinen - Strome - Cagguila
Khaira - Letestu - Kassian

Klefbom - Larsson
Russell - Benning
Nurse - Gryba

Talbot

Sekera will swap with Gryba when he's back. Yamamoto will likely be up for only 9 games unless he blows the top off with his performances. He had a fantastic preseason, so I assume this is his 'reward' before being sent back for junior. Pulju is starting in the AHL, so hopefully he performs and is up mid-season, though I'm not gonna lie, I'm a little nervous. This might be Yakupov PTSD.

Still, this is the best team the Oilers have iced in my life time. We are 4 lines deep among the forwards(with a lot of young players), and our D looks solid enough (Especially if Benning and Nurse can take a step forward). Talbot was among the best goalies in the NHL. McLellan also showed he can roll with the best. Reaching the Western Conference finals is the minimum for this squad. Really excited to see how this season goes.

The Flyers continue to trip over themselves and not ice the best lineup possible.  It looks like one of Travis Sanheim or Sam Morin will be sent down in favor of newly appointed assistant captain Andrew MacDonald and Dale Weise got the nod over SHL forward of the year (at 20 years old) Oskar Lindblom.  Those moves along with Giroux moving to wing should have their lineup looking like:

Giroux-Couturier-Voracek
Weal-Patrick-Simmonds
Weise-Filppula-Konecny
Leier-Laughton-Raffl

Provorov-MacDonald
Sanheim-Gudas
Hagg-Ghost
(Morin could also be subbed in anywhere)

Elliott
Neuvirth

Much improved over last years squad but we have guys in the AHL that would improve our lineup even more.

Jack Eichel went against the advice of his agents, and signed before the season started. And took less money.

8/80

leggo.

Good for Buffalo to get their young stud locked up for the long term.  He'll be the key piece for them for years to come.

Woooo. Jagr to the Flames!

Dude is going to play until he's 50 if the teams let him...and he'll probably still be somewhat effective. Third greatest offensive player I have ever seen (Wayne, Super Mario being the first two).
