If they do, it'll probably look a lot like the Senators and Lightning expansion draft. Teams protected 14 players and 2 goalies that year and couldn't lose more than 2 guys. So it's basically the Seattle and Vegas drafts where minus 1 player if you protected 8 skaters and a goalie (7 skaters and 1 goalie per expansion team). Ottawa/TB was before I was an NHL fan so not really familiar with how that worked. So you actually get to protect more of your roster? Honestly seems that it would be better from a competitive sense to do one at a time. Would be difficult to create much of a team (especially 2) if selection is that limited.
