It blew my mind that people kept throwing Florial in the top 50-60 prospects in the game. Its hard to admit you're wrong, and its really hard to admit it when the kid you are wrong about is still only 22 years old and has a couple plus plus tools and others that could be league average to above average......but yeah, supposed plus raw power-with 21 HR and 26 2B in 149 games in A+ in two years, supposed plus plus speed-20 SB, 15 caught in the past two years. 40/45 hit tool max? Yeah, he's in danger of not even making it to the majors.

I trust the Brewers staff. I love how they use pitchers with unique profiles. I think Rasmussen can be a pretty good 5 inning type guy if he can stay healthy. Yeah, thats the biggest issue, but its not like I have him as a top 100 guy. He's at #188. Plus plus fastball, potential plus slider, and I like how his change up has developed. It can be useable. devils1854
The more I read and learn about him, the more Im convinced that I am way too low on George Kirby. His offerings are just good enough for him to excel because that command could be 75(dare I say 80?). I will say I have not seen video of Kirby pitching professionally. He was up in Everette, WA and apparently no one took video, but the reports from those innings were glowing. 23 IP, 0 BB. I think he had 6 total his junior year at Elon in 2019. Now we have this news Quote Kirby has been hitting the upper 90s with his fastball during simulated games at the Mariners' alternate training site in Tacoma, Shannon Drayer of 710 ESPN Seattle reports. The news comes via general manager Jerry Dipoto, who relayed updates on several of the organization's top prospects during a radio interview Thursday. Kirby was impressive at short-season Everett last season (2.35 ERA, 25:0 K:BB across 23 innings) after his selection in the first round of the first-year player draft, and with no minor-league season this year, he's at least getting valuable development time in at Tacoma. Top 100? He could be top 50 in my eyes if its real.
Eagles27
Kirby was upper 90's during spring side sessions too. He's bulked up quite a bit in the last year. Velo & ++command could work really well as you said, even without a standout breaking ball. Trying not to get too excited after our last trio of SP prospects, but Hancock, Gilbert, & Kirby should be fun to follow.

Really like the organization from my research so I made sure I tuned in for a couple of early season games to see the young kids play. Then I had to watch for Jo Adell's debut, and part of his second game. Then they were they ESPN+ late game last night. Kirby's command has him a really high floor. Even if the new velo doesnt stick, he will still probably be a back end 1.0-1.5 WAR type of pitcher that will just get you some innings. I think that really could be worst case scenario, and he does have upside. Thats a top 100 guy. I really hope there is a AFL league this year and its expanded. We need to see these kids. This org has turned things around so quickly. It might have been two years ago when I was debating Braden Bishop being in the top 5 for the team because there was almost no one. This could be the lineup opening day 2022.
