I think NFL players should storm over to Argentina—or whatever country likes that sport—and fight them for the name. 
 

Soccer/Futbol can then change its name to either Soccer or SitwhenIpeeball.

Ain't nobody worried about what soccer thinks. 

I dunno, doesn't the cha piobs league (never even mind the world cup final) get multiples of what the Superbowl does for viewership? 

 

I've soured on football (soccer) over the last decade for a number of reasons but I've always found it hilarious how only 2 of 53 players on a team actually touch the ball with their feet, and they're the two most unappreciated and sometimes even disdained positions in sport, with one of them being perhaps the biggest scapegoat position in the sport also.

Way back in the day, going back and forth on a field trying to score goals was done on horseback. "Football" then became the general term for this type of game off horseback, which is why we call soccer, rugby, and American football some kind of "football".
