Hope he doesn't regret it. The fact he was a vet, would be great for the slot, and used in hybrid TE roles and routes as well. He is a decent blocker for a stable of running back. fistfullofbeer Posted August 3, 2020 Share Posted August 3, 2020 I don't quite have the optimism that some of the others here have with our WR corps but I guess we will find out in a few months. Lost the only addition in FA that we made to bolster the position. That being said, like some others have said I didnt quite expect Funchess to be a #2. Age 26. At age 26, Demarius had 92 for 1430 and 14 TDs. Second year of a great 4 year span for him. Not saying Fun is at that level as a player, not even near it. I would say the difference is St. Brown is kind of unknown and exciting. Funchess has had one outlier decent year in five seasons. Now by the time he actually suits up, if he doesn't get cut by then, Funchess will have played one game in two years. The only thing he brought was depth. Again, that has nothing to do with the rest of the groups talent level. Funches sucking doesn't mean Kumerow and MVS don't also suck.
