While this is def true and I didn't think of that angle, I am amped this dude is gone. He was consistently among the most penalized OL on our team that also had some injury problems and was just OK when healthy. Its certainly possible that no one would trade for him and has they cut him at the draft or start of FA I'd have been fine with the move. But now, closer to the season, seeing covid spikes in baseball and all the opt outs in football, it makes more sense to hang on to a decent veteran guard with starting experience for both depth purposes and trade leverage. Winters is a pretty good guy and teammate. Oft injured, and mediocre talent, but solid in the clubhouse. He has a wife and family right her in NJ.
