The article you're looking at explicitly discusses Compulsive in terms of a role. We are not picking roles. We are picking abilities. An ability with Compulsive must be used if the player is able to do so. It doesn't matter if you have other abilities. If you have that one, it's Compulsive, you have to use it. Hope that cleared up your confusion. EDIT: Come to think of it, you could be a real jerk to someone by giving them an every-Night Compulsive ability and a bunch of other actions that they'll never be able to use... My second wakes up at 5:45 no matter when she goes to bed (she’s 3).
