Especially not when Goedert is younger and has higher potential. If Roseman is smart (I think he is... except for that Jeffery restructure), then he will trade Ertz next year to the highest bidder (at least... a 2nd round pick) and turn around and extend Goedert early next offseason before he can have a big year as TE1. I swear if we extend Ertz for big $ then let Goedert walk... Edited August 13, 2020 by TheRealMcCoy

I think next off season we'll probably only be able to get a 3rd for Ertz.

We'll highly likely get a 3rd round comp pick back if we let him walk. I don't know if he would sit out for a new extension next offseason and force Howie's hand, but I guess we'll get there when we get there. Dorsey built this team, Veach just fine tuned it. I was more talking this off-season. We had like 200 bucks after tagging CJ lol

Yea I don't know if teams will be lining up to give a 30 year old TE a big contract.

It kind of makes me a little worried it will backfire hard somehow.

Hanging on to a lot of the same players backfired on us.

If he's still producing, he'll have plenty of suitors. Kelce will be 31 soon too and he still got his

Tony G, Jason Witten and Antonio Old Man Gates all continued to make linebackers look foolish well into their 30’s. Kelce is really talented football player and imo the biggest key to that offense pre Mahomes having success. Pairing him with Mahomes is like getting the steak and lobster combination.
HolmesPriest
I think Kelce has more value staying with the Chiefs than he would if he went somewhere else. Him and Mahomes are like Brady and Gronk, best frenz 4ever ❤️
