This shows Pass rush vs Pass defense.  Take the horizontal   PRWR (pass rush win rate) with a few grains of salt.  Vertical is defensive Pass EPA/play.  Higher up is better pass defense.  Higher up and Right is better pass defense possibly because of pass rush.

The secondary is doing ok... the pass rush needs to win more.  Hopefully that starts to happen.

I am all in on believing this defense grows with the growth of Martin and Barnes.  If those two continue to improve, this defense can improve and we can do what the 2007 Giants, 2009 Saints and 2011 Giants did, which is suck on defense for the first 10-ish games and then suddenly click going into the postseason.

This week is a monumental week for this defense.  A turnover prone Cousins in a make or break game for the Vikings season.

If this defense can hold the Vikings to just three scores all game and come up with some turnovers, that is invaluable for their confidence going forward.

Where would you set the "over/under" for amount of receptions we allow behind the first zone and in front of safeties along the sidelines?

I'm thinking 4 or 5.

Oh honey, their season broke two weeks ago when they couldn't beat the Seahawks...

The issue with this defense has always been post season.

They don’t wow you in regular season, but do just enough for you to grudgingly be semi optimistic and then in post season they get exposed each and every year.

This year will be no different. This isn’t a defense that can stop a TOP 5 team. At best you pray the defense holds the opponent to under 30 in the playoffs over the course of 4Qs instead of getting blown out in first half.

defense getting blown out = A-Rod disappears
