The defense is capable of being elite, sure.  I'm not sure Pettine is.

Streaking is most effective and bold when done in inclement weather.

Although the cold carries its own set of problems when streaking.... for males anyway.

I keep thinking of that Seinfeld episode where George is squeeling "shrinkage"!

14th in points against now.

.7 points behind Arizona
1.3 points behind Tampa Bay
1.3 points behind Indianapolis
1.5 points behind Chicago
2 points behind the Giants

Over the past three weeks the Packers are 6th in the league in points against.  Only took playing three bad offenses, but hey, that's something.

Over the past three weeks, the Packers are actually 4th in offensive points against (16.7) behind Seattle, New England and Miami:

*to motivate home-field, #1 seed advantage - we are 5th in the league on the season in offensive points against at Lambeau (18.4) and 23rd in offensive points against on the road (26.6).

Mike Pettine stacks the box as much as Bill Belicheck. 10 year contract extension incoming.

Only because Jaire sometimes says **** it and goes in there when Pettine’s scheme would otherwise have him standing in a zone with his ear up his butt.

I just want us to finish the season top 10 in points against.  That would give me extreme faith in the postseason.

We are currently 15th.  We're tied with the Seahawks.

So we need these teams to allow more points than we do this week:

Seahawks (Rams)
Cardinals (Already played, gave up 20)
Colts (Only allowed 7 so far)
Bears (Ten points allowed to jaguars so far)
Giants (Allowed 17 points already)
Chiefs (7 points to Falcons so far)

...

We're not going to catch up to anyone.

We remain 15th in points allowed.

If we allow 14 points or less to the Bears, that would bring us to 22.9 points allowed per game.  That would mean the following team would have to give up this many points for us to pass them:

Cardinals 18 points to the Rams
Colts 19 points to the Jaguars
Seahawks 19 points to the Niners
Giants 30 points to Cowboys
Bears 33 points to the Packers
Saints 38 points to the Panthers

So it looks like 11th in points against is possible, maybe even 10th if we score a lot of points against the Bears.

I'm just not sure I have much faith in our defense holding the Bears to 14 points.
