People also like to apply today's standards to the past - which is an absurd oversight. Further, people forget it is hall of FAME. quiller Posted August 21, 2020 Share Posted August 21, 2020 It is such a different game now then it was. The rules are totally different the players are totally different. The amount of hitting and contact allowed back then was crazy compared to now also the players have change dramatically. For instance the heaviest starting OL on the 72 Cowboys was Wright at 265.
