theJ
I feel like this same thing happened to you in the Bengals franchise. Awful team, and you had a pretty decent 1st year record.

The one thing that always got me with your previous one (and this one looks to be the same), is that no matter how awful the QB is, they always throw for 30+ TD's and fewer than 10 INT's. They're all rock stars. Do the sim stats for all the other rosters look the same?

I jacked up the XP Sliders for K & P to 300% because they usually don't improve, may have gone overboard with it.
JBURGE
Brave to do a tracked franchise before they correct sim logic. I'm here for it
MKnight82
FREE AGENCY Per usual I won't aim for big FA. But my team is a trainwreck so I might look for some help here. LT Cam Robinson (74) - 2 year offer, $5.5 mil salary, $3.00 mil SB, $7.74 cap hit - Can play somewhere along the line. Normal dev. RE Solomon Thomas (76) - 2 year offer, $3.0 mil salary, $1.75 mil SB, $4.32 cap hit - He's talented but still raw. Worth this price IMO. Normal dev. HB Jamaal Williams (79) - 2 year offer, $3.0 mil salary, $1.05 mil SB, $3.62 cap hit - RB depth, or possible starter.

The top prospect is a pretty good looking FS in Mack Booth. B+ MC for a Safety, or any prospect really, is very high so he could probably convert to CB no problem. CB Kendrick Harvin is actually the opposite, high Zone Coverage, not the fastest 40, he probably needs to move to Safety. FS Andrew Chancellor is not as polished but a great athlete with size. I don't consider QB an immediate need, but if Holiday or Jimenez fall to the 2nd round I'll have to consider them. LE Herrick looks like a solid edge rusher, but he's 23 years old and doesn't have a Finesse or Power moves in his top 3 stats which is concerning. ROLB Dave Clark would probably convert to DE in my 4-3 scheme. He's only 21, he'd be a good pick for me. ROLB Jason Addison is listed as a pass rusher, but at his size I'd probably keep him at linebacker. MLB Antonio Brown is a great all around prospect and one of my top targets. TE Paul McCann looks like an amazing prospect, he's probably near the top of my wishlist. WR Shepherd is 21 but his speed doesn't really wow me. WR Bridge is listed in the late 2nd and has good size as a possession WR, I'll probably target him in the 2nd round. DT Juan Nash looks like a stud, maybe he could be the next Derek Tripp. Its a bummer he's 22 though and not 21. DT Reynolds is solid but not quite as good as Nash. I'm not trading up, lets see who lasts till 19. Freaking DT Juan Nash went with the pick right in front of me. FS Booth, LE Herrick, QB Jimenez, ROLB Clark, CB Harvin, TE McCann, MLB Brown, WR Shepherd, and DT Nash are all gone. That leaves QB Holiday, HB Turbin, FS Chancellor, ROLB Addison, DT Reynolds and WR Bridge are still available. Not the cream of the crop. Bummer that I won so many pointless games. FS Chancellor is 23, so he's out. ROLB Addison is an undersized linebacker, and listed as a late first talent. I think I can get WR Bridge later. Its down to HB Turbin or DT Reynolds. Turbin is listed as an Early 1st talent, so he's definitely the BPA. The problem is he's a RB. Still, I don't have a starting RB. I think he's the pick. With the 19th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: HB Gabriel Turbin, Miami Elusive (78), Receiving (69), Power (66) - Normal dev. Ouch. Still he was listed as the #2 talent in the class. HBs can gain dev traits pretty easily so I don't think this is a wasted pick. He has pretty good speed. I'm on the clock again at 25. QB Holiday is gone. All the others are still available. I think DT Reynolds is the smart pick here since he's 21. With the 25th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: DT Alan Reynolds, Texas Run Stopper (73), Speed Rusher (73), Power Rusher (66) - Ouch again. Normal dev. Not a great start. 89 Strength is solid, but he's a pretty average prospect. Not great for a first round pick. Hopefully the second round goes better than the first. The only player left from my big board is WR Bridge, I think he's the obvious pick here. With the 40th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: WR Brandon Bridge, Texas Tech Physical (71), Deep Threat (70), Slot (68), Route Runner - Oh man this is not going good. Normal dev. He has pretty good speed for his size though. I think he will contribute. There are two solid players available here. A WR named Ferguson who's listed as a Late 1st talent and ROLB Stuckey who's also listed as a Late 1st. Double dipping at WR feels a little strange, but this WR looks really good. He ran a 4.40, and was 1st at the combine in Bench. With the 51st Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: WR Johnnie Ferguson, Tennessee Physical (74), Slot (71), Deep Threat (70), Route Runner (67) - What a disaster. Normal dev again. He's actually better than Bridge but come on. This draft is going so bad I think I'm going to flip some for future picks. *TRADE* Colts Receive #83 (3) NY Jets Receive 2022 3rd 2022 5th With the 87th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: TE Richard Bradshaw, USC Vertical (70), Possession (70), Blocking (60) - Normal dev. Pretty solid TE for the 3rd round. Well rounded, decent athlete. Needs to work on his blocking. With the 89th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: RT Donnell Kendricks, Louisville Agile (70), Power (68), Pass Protector (68) - Normal dev again. Solid olineman, well rounded. 90 Strength is nice, 21 years old. Time to sim to the 4th. With the 115th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: MLB Jamie Wofford, Appalachian State Run Stopper (67), Field General (65), Pass Coverage (60) - Hidden dev! Finally. He's 23 years old so this isn't perfect, but he looks like a good player. With the 121st Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: CB Thomas Blades, UCLA Slot (66), Zone (66), Man to Man (64) - Normal dev. He's 6'2", not the best athlete but should make decent depth. 5th round time. With the 138th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: ROLB Duke Gaddis, SMU Run Stopper (68), Speed Rusher (66), Power Rusher (60), Pass Coverage (58) - Normal dev. Decent athlete, should be solid depth. *TRADE* Colts Receive #147 (5) NY Jets Receive 2022 4th round pick I'm going to end up with the Cots entire draft next year apparently. 6th Round. With the 179th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: RE Deon Carruthers, FSU Power Rusher (66), Run Stopper (65), Speed Rusher (63) - Normal dev. He's 6'5" 299 lbs so I'll be moving him to DT. He's a decent athlete. 7th Round. With the 211th Pick in the NFL Draft the NY Jets select: K Reid Shields, Virginia Accurate (66), Power (66) - Took a stab at a kicker, he's normal dev. Not the best leg. Probably will cut him. Man what a rough first draft. Edited August 22, 2020 by MKnight82
