Apparently you create your own character for the campaign instead of preset characters, which I think is the first for COD. I'm actually excited for the campaign for the first time since MW2. I wasn't a huge fan of BO4 after a couple of months or so, but this game will (likely) avoid the same mistakes they made - TTK being too high, specialists, weak streaks (relative to the rest of the Treyarch games). I love that the gunsmith is coming back, scorestreaks are back, ninja/dead silence is back, Treyarch maps are back, the Control mode is back. COD is back. The art style is super cool. I love that Treyarch actually uses colors, unlike Infinite Ward. I think the change to have scorestreaks not reset after dying is a good move. It allows less s killed players to still contribute, and the bonuses you get for not dying allow better players to get the higher streaks. I also like that streaks and field equipment have cooldowns so there isn't too much spam. Also - this is both cross-platform AND cross-generation, so a PS4 player can play with a next-get Xbox, etc.. @JBURGE let's goooo. I'm going to need to load up BO3 again to get my aim back. Heimdallr Posted September 9, 2020 Share Posted September 9, 2020 So even though streaks don't reset on death, the bonus for staying alive is huge. In Domincation, a chopper gunner (highest streak in the alpha @ 6000 points) is a 15-kill streak, or 60 kills if you die every 3 kills. EDIT - the chopper gunner is absolutely insane. I just saw a hardpoint game where two pros got them back to back, and the kill feed was nothing but chopper gunner kills. team wipe after team wipe.
