What a ******* joke. You can commit attempted murder like that ******* thug did, yet you smoke pot you're gone for 8+ games. Love how the NFL is always preaching player safety, yet when a thug delivers the most dangerous hit I have ever seen on a football field, he only gets 2, now 1 game(s). I hope to God we run right at this thug in our next meeting and take out his knees repeatedly. He could have paralyzed or even killed Adams, and it was intentional. Burfict may be a dirty player, but even he has never delivered a hit nearly as dangerous and vicious as the one that this thug delivered. He should have received no less than 10 games. I guess he was just sick and tired of getting spanked by the Packers every season, and decided to take it out on Adams.

Since you're new to football...

By the way, leading with the helmet is dangerous, so what penalty should Matthews have had for this? I'm asking because he wasn't exactly a first time offender. You might not remember him giving  a blatant cheap shot to Kaep while he was out of bounds. Maybe he was tired of being escorted out of the playoffs by the 49ers?

^^^
Pre-snap... wouldn't that be the definition of defenseless? Or was he already sick of chasing down Mariota?

The hit on Brown wasn't nearly as bad, so keep trying. Also the hit on McMahon happened same year I was born, sooo. DT's hit on Adams could have ended way differently. Travathug should have received 10 games. It was a blatant attempt to end Adams' career. The Matthews hit wasn't a cheap shot and happened during the context of the play. None of the others are comparable, other than the one on McMahon.

Look, I'm on the side who thinks Trevathan SHOULD be suspended for the hit, but how the hell can you tell his intent?  Since when did we have a mindreader on this forum?  He's never had a dirty hit before, and if he were trying to end a players career, I'm SURE that Davante Adams would have been low on the list of players on his hit list.   More than likely, he got caught up in the heat of a frustrating game and put his head down hoping to deliver a big hit. He didn't realize his head was going to make contact with Adams head, but he was not smart in assuming it wouldn't happen, he put his head down too early and couldn't adjust.  Get out of here with this nonsense, because yes it was wrong and he should be suspended but you are kidding yourself if you think he was trying to end the dude's career....  I'll bet you if he was, his career would be over, all of these guys are big enough and have enough strength that if thats what they truly want they could do some serious damage.

You must have not watched pro football for very long. The effect of the mouth piece flying out and Adams going down amplified the perception of the hit and apparently gave you psychic powers to know it was an intentional attempt to injure Adams. Because it was a helmet hit he should have gotten the penalty and probably thrown out of the game per 2017 rules. However, the receiver and the pile of guys around him were still moving and had just pivoted from moving AWAY from Trevathan to moving towards him and NOT in slow motion and the whistle had not blown.

Perhaps you have knowledge of the other dirty hits that Trevathan has delivered that would lead an observer to believe that he is known to be a dirty player. After the game he said his prime concern was not a suspension, but how Adams was doing. Guys that have played with him and against him say that while he is a big hitter he is not dirty.

Keep up the classy comments about targeting players' knees.

Come on now it wasn’t attempt to injury it was an attempt to murder. And thank you mods for doing something.

Just because you have a hard on for the Packers doesn't  mean the Adams hit was worse, you've completely discredited yourself again. I didn't realize illegal hits were only of importance when they were recent. How long before this hit becomes irrelevant?

Clearly you're blind as well. That was clearly late and out of bounds. He was fined $15K for that CHEAP shot.

Thank you for stopping by, you've again been proven wrong... repeatedly. You've been proven to be clueless, no need to further reinforce the point.

@GreenReign I get you're frustrated by the play, but this post is totally unnecessary with the excessive swearing and wish for harm on DT.  You're getting a warning for trolling.

Every time you come to our forum something bad seems to happen.  Maybe try to stay away from the Bears forum in the future.

Believe it or not, we have jobs.  And one of us lives in Scotland (or Sweden, Australia? Idk, somewhere far away.)

we don't monitor these forums 24/7.  We get to things when we can.
