I have stayed away from the forum because football hasn't been important. I spent Sat-Mon in Vegas. Didn't lose anyone I know personally but heard the shots and saw the chaos afterward. I was one block away at the Excalibur. Crying people coming into the hotel with blood on their clothes, casinos and the strip on lockdown, the huge blood drive effort the city underwent. Just crazy and senseless...

Ok, enough of that.

I've been scanning the posts from when I was away, couldn't read them all but this sub really is predictable. I knew TD would come under fire. Maybe it's deserved and maybe not. It's just the knee jerk reaction that is all too familiar.

Scary stuff, man -- glad you're okay and weren't directly caught up in it.

Guys on the bright side, the defensive performance against Denver showed that if we have the potential to have 2 units playing at a very high level. If anything, this shows that we have a chance to make a splash in the postseason if we can get there. Last year, the defense looked too flawed to beat anyone really good. This year, we have a punchers chance on a good day.

Denver isn't a great offensive team. Trevor Siemian is a limited QB. The defense did an admirable job against Denver, but I'd hold off before proclaiming that

Denver put up 42 on Dallas. They can definitely play on the offensive side of the ball, and considering how many drives they had, it was a pretty good performance. It's not like we shut down New England or New Orleans, but it's a good start.
