He did, then they signed him to the PS. Just promoted him after the IR move with Williams it looks like.

Ahh, I didn't realize there were some exceptions made this year for who is allowed on the PS. He wouldn't have been eligible any other year, so I was a bit confused how he ended up on there.

One of Gruden's "guys". Sounds like a solid get.

I liked him in his draft year, as having some kinda interesting talent for a later round receiver.  Albeit the sorta stereotypical "Welker type" abilities that can be hard to project to the next level.  But i liked him enough to...checks notes...value him a couple rounds above Mr Irrelevant.

A receiver who can run routes but with that "improvisational jazz" sort of natural feel for space, seems like a potential candidate for promotion if a touch thrower like Minshew is at the helm.

I like this one.

Obviously didn't work out in PHI, but a former 2nd round pick. I liked him coming out.

Yeah.  Can't really ask for much more on the PS.  He's probably just going to continue to suck and be injured all the time, and it's pretty clear he's never gonna be the same player he was pre-draft-pre-injury.  But the pedigree of what he was able to do before that injury...at least it's a spot spent on a guy with upside if he miraculously turns it back around.  Pre-injury Sidney Jones would probably be a perfect fit for us.  That's not what we're getting...but, we're not getting anything else this year.  Might as well have a few fleeting moments of dreaming.

Especially when our DB situation is an actual laughingstock right now.  Makes sense for Sidney Jones to sign here too.  Like...if he's gonna work his way onto any roster...it's this garbage one, that is particular weak and inexperienced at DB.

Im hoping we do a ps spot for breeland speaks.  Former 2nd round traits guy

I feel like those purely "traits based" guys who don't find a way to make an impact early, practically never work out.  The guys who take longer to pan out are still rare...but they're usually the crazy technicians and scholars of the position, and/or the guys who take time to come back from an injury to get back to normal.

Most "traits guys" who have already busted out, do so pretty quickly...and their only real use becomes reinventing themselves as athletic STers or specialists in general.  The NFL has habit of sorting the "traits only" guys, from the "traits plus other stuff" players.  Traits only works about as well as intangibles and work ethic only...and often worse.

lol at the idea of a Giraffe riding a rollercoasting in all this.  The G-Forces on the neck must be incredibly taxing for poor Mike.

#Jaguars sign 15 players to practice squad: WR Josh Hammond, QB Glennon, WR Godwin, CB Amari Henderson, OL K.C. McDermott, RB Cottrell, TE Ben Ellefson, LB Nate Evans, TE Matt Flanagan, LB Giles-Harris, OL Austin Pleasants, W Trey Quinn, DL Caraun Reid, OL Wallace-Sims, P Wright.

Cool to see McDermott is at least probably sticking around the PS for a while maybe.  Really thought he was a draftable talent that year.  Physically so limited, but he's also got some great versatility under his belt...which is kinda what you want in a PS stashed lineman.

Wallace-Sims gives me Sims-Walker nightmares and i don't like it.
